In my 3rd year robotics course we built robots from scratch. Avg price was $50-100. Basically did the same things TFA was talking about. Following lines, etc. However, most iterations were analog; the final project went digital.
I think it's because the current technology does not work well with short range rockets such as kassams that are currently problematicly shot by terrorists in Gaza; in addition, there are probably about 10 rockets shot daily from those terrorists; maybe twice a week we hear about it actually hitting something. Katyushas are sent from the north (mostly from the terrorist group Hesbolla) those get through much more rarely.
The next gen technology will probably work better; but looks like another 18 months according to what I read.
Also, was thinking after reading the article, maybe there should be some sort of fact-checking addon where one is required to cite sources for information.
One story like this costs the company a LOT more than the cost of a settlement or the cost of replacement of 1000 units.
The questions I have are.. Has this story been verified and not staged? Maybe it was just someone who hates dell? What news conference did this happen at? Why's it so difficult to get a model #, or get another closer shot after the fire was put out?
At the very least, the new name could be Y2K compliant. C++09 doesn't seem to do that. At this rate, they'll still be making updates in 2109, so maybe they should clear the ambiguity and rename it from C++0x to C++200x
I'm sorry, but as much as I prefer Google's interface, I wouldn't trust someone's life to it.
A friend of mine runs a company I did their web site for. I provided a link to the location using google maps. Google gave an address 2 large blocks away from the actual location of the company.
We have decided to deny your warranty request to replace the external power supply and deny your request for a complimentary Microsoft XPCool Strings(tm).
The reason for this is that you have not used your unit according to the specifications.
As per the instruction manual included in MS Word format on the XBox 360's hard drive, it clearly states in section 361.27.5a(iii) the following:
"As an additional winter bonus, we have provided you with a power supply that doubles as a personal block heater, this block heater must be set up by suspending over the cardboard box provided with the XBox360. Failure to do so can cause system instability or fire.
If your friend or family member has thrown away this box, please purchase an additional usage license for that friend or family member as you are clearly in violation of the EULA (as this the console is provided with a single user license); we will provide you with an extra box for power supply suspension along with the additional license upon request"
I'm a little concerned, maybe someone can clarify this.
Once MS opens up their file formats. Will OpenOffice, et al then be required to sign an agreement with MS to use their formats, or else they could be sued?
This is a problem, especially if you're typing a password or something.
I found this behaviour elsewhere within Firefox (and IE too, I think).
If you're loading a page, and it's taking a while; then you start typing in the addressbar. Once the page loads, if it has a text input box, what you're typing automatically continues in the text input box of the page.
I was thinking, before changing focus, a simple thing to do would be as follows: If more than 2 keys were pressed in the last second, do not switch focus. Otherwise, (if less than 2 keys in last second) then switch focus.
How about this?5 3000sci-physics-light.html

Keep in mind, there are organizations working AS WE SPEAK on systems to remotely service the Hubble without requiring a person to go up there.

Is actually not accurate; as there would probably not be any objects as sharp as that.

Maybe a slashdot-like moderator and metamoderator system?
I lost interest after the first paragraph, except I'm still wondering what this has to do with physics?

I don't think it's your system that's slow. It appears that Google Earth has been slashdotted.
Umm.. 1080/60p? That's heavy duty, I'm not sure if any current TV's support 60fps progressive scan at 1080 resolution. Maybe you mean 1080/60i?
Shouldn't the editors here do their job and edit the posts (fix the grammar, spelling, etc.)?
Once the webcam is put in there, it can only be on, since the web cam can only work properly if the bulb is in a lit state.
If I 'buy' a piece of software in the store.
Then prior to installing it, I hack the installation to bypass the license agreement.
Am I bound by the license?
Same in Jaguars, once you go above 5km/h, it shuts down all input.
I would get the impression that the carrier storing the e-mails would be the 'home' carrier for the blackberry user.
When the user goes within range, it will ping it's home carrier to request the e-mails.

Or spying on them.
I think this whole thing is just a cover for an amazing spy tool. Nobody would ever suspect the dog is wearing a wire.
Does he get a tax receipt for this donation?

Maybe they need water on the moon.
When I read the title, I thought they were going to plant grass on the moon or something crazy like that.
