"The "electronic communication" means any transfer of signs, signals, writing, images, sounds, data, or intelligence of any nature transmitted in whole or in part by a wire, radio, electromagnetic, photoelectronic or photooptical system that affects interstate or foreign commerce, but does not include(A) any wire or oral communication;(B) any communication made through a tone-only paging device;(C) any communication from a tracking device (as defined in section 3117 of this title); or(D) electronic funds transfer information stored by a financial institution in a communications system used for the electronic storage and transfer of funds."
Not at all. There's a lot of cheap phones on the market (Chinese ones especially, like the faux iPhones) that don't have a valid IMEI. Some don't even have one at all -- it's not used to set up calls or anywhere in the routing process. It's there merely to track the phone.
Speaking of credit where credit is due, the song was originally recorded by Jimmy Soul, but was written by Frank Guida. It was based on a calypso by Roaring Lion, though I don't recall what the title was.
There's more 20-somethings into amateur radio than you'd think. In fact, more than a good portion of our local ham radio club is younger than 35.

Living in Western Mass, I assure you that they never pave asphault "in a day". We have areas they've been working on for months... and down in CT, one highway that was undergoing repaving was that way for well over a year. Lane closures and so on.
They actually didn't ban it. It's available for sale at the convenience store nearest my apartment in Springfield, MA. In fact, they added a new variety, with less harsh flavor, called "Cut Cocaine".
I was in the market recently due to a planned relocation due to work. Northern VT had a good number of them well under 100k. There was a nice 3 bed/1 bath that I was looking into that they had selling for that same 60k.
I'm aware that I'm arguing a legal theory. I'm not a lawyer, however. It just seems like common sense that complete works that include creative content should be copyrightable. However, law and common sense don't run together as often as they should. Like you, I've no idea.
I'll go further. Slashdot can have it for free, and it'll never be reproduced by me again. It's awful. That was sort of the point, though.

I don't know about homes, but I can attest that it's BOTH the bank and my name on the title to my car. When the loan's paid off, the bank signs off on the title and their name is removed... so yes, the bank owns it.
If you absolutely must avoid the word "Americans", why not try something more traditional? Like Yankees or Yanks? It's not like we take offense to the term or something.
It's only the amateur and accidental jerks that have a horrible sense of timing. True professionals have an excellent sense of timing in order to acheive the maximum ammount of insensitvity, calousness and jerkitude.
...whoops. I misread that. Preview would have been my friend. Let me add that I've not seen anything like that transmitted on SSTV, nor have even heard about that happening.

P.S. Wow, I sure hope nobody has transmitted/that/...

I doubt it...

...hmm, Wikipedia tells me it was "Ugly Woman."
It disables one type of tracking, but not triangulation by cell phone towers, according to my understanding.
Bizzarely, I'm on IE6 (no choice, at work) and it doesn't do that. Go figure -- IE6 is actually useful for something.

...or, he lives in a dying city and commutes to the 'burbs where there's actually work, like I do.

Depends on how cheap "cheap" is. I, for one, would be interested :) Though given the ;) I doubt you'll sell it hehe.

Except in a car. *speaking as someone who travels through CT daily* Oh, what I wouldn't give to be able to avoid 84, 91 and 95...especially 84.

Yes, and given its size, it would seem that it's rather dense as well!
You, sir, win five internets. That's bloody awesome. Thanks for making my day.
Comic Sans, obviously.
Just FYI: The IANA is the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority, which maintains the IP address allotments and can be found at http://www.iana.org/ .
