I love motorsport, (used to compete, too), and as a fully paid-up BSD geek neckbeard, am far from being a Luddite...but this kind of crap is what puts both drivers and audiences off F1 Hamilton's a fantastic driver, and like the "greats" before him, has said publicly that he would like nothing better than to have more control over the car. Yes, they're technologial marvels, but it's all gone too far - a comeptitive driver with a good, working car should not lose this way.
I'm against torture, (however much people use weasel words to underplay whatever "enhanced interrogation techniques" were used). It brings us down to the level of those who seek to destroy our society and its hard-won liberties and values. (I'm certainly not against them in battle or cold blood if they're caught in the act...)
I'm also against the increasing trend of leaking:
according to current and former U.S. intelligence officials, who spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity.
WTF? Intelligence officials briefing the press? Prosecute them!
I get it...get through insane amounts of cash running after revenue and market share...VCs keep it coming in anticipation of cashing-out when you list. But...are people really that dumb, after being burned by a bunch of other dud Unicorns? Who the hell would buy Uber today? They're destroying billions of dollars a year, with no signs of how to make a profit...neither have Lyft
If they are purpose-building / renovating - and it sounds like it, "...were included in the design...", then you would have thought that a competent architect and contractor could have put something together cheaper.
Use the money saved to equip each booth with a secure PC / video conference utility..
Engines with the replaced IMS are usually fine, (and it's not too hard or expensive to do; but do it BEFORE it fails...) Otherwise your're pretty much right; but note sticking in that Corvette V8 is not as easy and cheap as the people who sell the kits make out. And...the kits are far from complete - you'll still need to buy a ton of stuff. Finally, after all that work, you end up with a Porsche with questionable resale. But....a lot of fun!
Ah yes; make sure you get the LS (Corvette, Camaro) version not the LQ (used in truck). Latter has Fe block, not Au.
OK, 15 grand is a lot for the average individual, but for law enforcement etc. it's peanuts. Did I not read hear about that Israeli firm charging 100 k a pop? This is really discounting hard - 50 bucks per phone cracked, (if that's what they're doing).
Careful; the age of consent in most places in Europe is 14-16 if you are that age too; if you're older, (typically older than 20) then it pops up to 18...(and quite right too).
I don't believe the BS from the boss recently that they could somehow magically "tweak the knobs" and turn an annual cash burn of billions into profit. Launching another "even lower cost" service; how's that gonna help?
Note to boss: stop throwing away cash on self-driving cars that Google & others will do certainly do better, and strip your costs to a bare minimum. How many people does it take to run the cloud service?
I know I'm getting old and forgetful, but did we not already have this story?
Although for sure it's news for nerds, a less exotic solution is proper hygene - studies have shown that simply cleaning the place regularly with bleach reduces infection considerably.
Of course, this is difficult in emergency wards, but in operating blocks (which are supposed to be sterile), bugs are regularly found...
I don't watch F1 anymore.

This one did not : plenty of web resources available: for example

Basically, you have the same problem as with a normal iceberg:
1. The damn thing melts, and the cooling systems they installed were costly and unreliable, and
2. It's very hard to move about (tow, steer...)
If this kind of thing was practicable, they'd be towing icebergs to the Middle East and Africa for the fresh water.
Still, a "cool" idea
It's popcorn time!
Apparantly not; I'm guess it was sure-as-shit cheaper, tho'
People looking for a printer driver, finding out their audio doesn't work, trying to figure out why system d has shat the bed again....
Sorry, should read "...killing them in battle..." of course

Indeed - I'll put one into our weekly program review meeting; the fucking Amazon server will explode...
Yes, but it didn't help that Itanium was a honking disaster in the marketplace, (apart from HP, who tied themselves to that turkey...)
That's only because I've no mod points today, sucker. Next time you're going down!
Someone beat you to it...

He's a bit wierd - but I'm a fan.
However, back-to-back Muskiness? Enough, thanks
Use words borrowed from edible things...y'a know, like Turkey, Lemon...
"...a lot more dire..." is that even English?
What's on from there, "totally humongously dire, dude!" ?
Is Trump editing /. now?
My lawn - you know what to do.

OK, I get it, "smartphone" has Android, iOS, GPS, big screen, lots of mem & proc.
But a "basic featurephone", wat?
You're already at five, so I'l "mod up" virtually
Bleeding cash, and in some areas having to stop UberPop since people have (finally) realized they can't make money doing it.

Indeed. Sorry I've not mod points today - the frame is indeed wood, and a common thing to rot on earlier models which were not treated.
