... I'd bet you my neck on a block it's because XServes just don't have big enough blue LEDs and blinky lights - and because Dell's servers are, oddly enough, among their best looking products.
Have you ever seen an Xserve? They account for about 90% of the LED's in the server room where I work (:
I am unsure as to why this is a comment. User X remarks about Slashdot story Y, an blog not looked upon with great respect by a majority of the public. Because of this X does not want his family to know he remarks about Y blog and generally associates with people from the Y blog so as to avoid embarassment due to his profession.
Apple's customer service is certainly not what is used to be. But I became a loyal customer originally years ago because of their customer service at that time. I was among many Apple users I know who would call their customer service, get a real person every time, and often times end up shooting the shit with these people for hours. I had a friend who actually called them quite often just to talk about tuning/upgrading his PowerMac.
That has definitely changed over the years, but if their customer service is still on-par with everyone else (in my case it is still the best customer service anyway), than why go anywhere else?
Have you ever actually dealt with iPod customer service? My original iPod had problems requiring me to send it back to them twice and each time they waived the fee (my original year had another month left) and always shipped overnight.
All my college friends incurred serious debt in college - in fact most of their debt was acquired in school.
You ended this sentence a little early: All my college friends incurred serious debt in college - in fact most of their debt was acquired in school tuition and outfuckingrageous fees.
I'd get 3 DVD's in the mail, I'd rip them to my HD for encoding and backup (to watch later), and send them out the next day. The day after I sent them Netflix would confirm that they had them and send out the next ones
YOU are exacly why Netflix is inclined to put something like this in place. You are not "backing up" these as you don't own them. Seriously mods, what are you thinking moding this insighful? I would vote with my points, but they won't matter with the sea of idoits who seem to get them.

For about the past month my mail server virus scanner has been getting a large number of hits from Sober, pretty much entirely from Hotmail. It's not an incredibly busy mail server, but the amount of Sober vs other viruses is hard to miss.
It seemed to take a break over Thanksgiving, there were zero hits between 11/23 and 11/28, which is the longest span since I first started seeing a lot of them.
The best way to insulate oneself from lightning is to be _inside_ a metal object, such as an automobile.
Isn't it the rubber in the tires that does the good though? Not so much the metal frame?
3. Don't lay flat on the ground if you are at a golf course or open field. Crouch.
Why's that?
Did you watch the videos? The movements look pretty fluid and definitely not overcompensated.
I'm waiting for the Apple-Nintendo-DHL merger so I can focus all my fanboyism at one entity.

About as long as it takes to figure out roughly the number of words in a post. (It's ~70)
Fry: Can you translate it?
Farnsworth: Of course. But only into Beta Crypt 3, a language so complex there's even less chance of understanding it.
Fry: I didn't ask for a completely reasonable excuse. I asked you to get busy.

Ballmer can't even throw his own chair! I mean COME ON!

I wonder if the gov't ever would have even noticed the site if every link except for the speeches didn't point to the official pages.
Looks like most of the dev being done on Bug 111230 is by all the guys from the Camino team.
There are some nice extra features (like the ability to easily edit the search field) in an addon called CaminTools.
Holy shit mods!
THIS IS NOT INSIGHTFUL!

Some stats from the past week:
11/28 - 57 hits (2.7% of received emails)
11/29 - 81 hits (3.6%)
11/30 - 64 hits (2.9%)
12/01 - 128 hits (2.2%)
12/02 - 72 hits (3.6%)

Your job isn't to inform, but to generate the highest number of page-views for your advertisers.
People who don't like ads can be fooled by hiding ads inside so-called news stories.
Heh, I wish those points were Slashdot-specific.
It certainly does lack a lot of the nice features that Firefox has. I primarily use it for the speed and *bites tongue* prettines over Firefox (:
If you're on OS X, use Camino. Same core, native development.
Haha, from the short description for this one:
