For calling yourself educated, that's a poorly formed sentence. It's not the controversy of using an embryo, it's the thought that it leads to breeding and harvesting embryos for the use of stem cell.
Yep, because the Taliban are only in caves and have no ability to use any form of modern communication or tactics. I have to laugh at some of these posts that make the Taliban out to be stupid (and in some cases almost innocent). There wasn't an internet during WWII but tactical maps and plans taken by troops were still useful and could be communicated back. They obviously don't have everything at their disposal that the US troops have but they certainly have many means of communication, whether stolen or otherwise and much greater than what was available in WWII.
I don't know why we would underestimate the abilities of our future generations or more specifically the computers of the future. The ability to analyze the physical attributes and extract data doesn't really seem like a big deal.
Then again, who cares, we only need something that will last for 3 years, right?:)
While I don't support EA or DRM (and refuse to buy Warhead for that reason) I have been soaking up everything I can on the situation and have one correction to your statement... EA has clarified that they will release a patch to remove activation in the event that they take down an authentication server. Obviously this can be taken as a "we'll see" mentality but I thought I would post that they've addressed activation.
So I just stop paying the bill on my phone without canceling so the shut it off and they're responsible? I don't see that and furthermore you're not holding up to your end of the contract.
If what you're saying were the case, there would be little reason to have contracts.
So you're one of those guys that has one of those ultra-cool external CD players attached to the center console or are you still using the cassette insert for your walkman CD player?:)
Perhaps one of the most interesting words in the English language today, is the word fuck. Out of all the English words that begin with the letter 'f'...

I generally find apps that work well that are freeware which require no upgrade, no cracks or other "nags" and I generally drop a few dollars their way if I find it valuable.
A virus scan is completed in the background when the file is downloaded so I'm not nagged with that.
The final part about the spyware and popups is generally the result of a person going to a crack site and downloading everything but the crack, WHICH isn't needed because it's freeware.
I'd say by most of your message that while you've closely followed Linux you've not taken the time to update your knowledge of Windows and are comparing from about the time Windows 95/98 was on most desktops.
Actually there are a lot of people that DO use VOIP. Most of the people I know that do, use it because their main form of communication is their cell phone. They have no need for a full service (fee) home number as well.
If something generally meets your needs with a few exceptions, I'm not sure why ground up development is necessary?
I can see controlling sensitive data and not having a product that could potentially have advertised vulnerabilities. However I don't see the need for a site to present your business with the addition of some custom content.
I do agree if you have something in mind that doesn't encompass the available tools/resources for a CMS, there's not much of a reason to go that route.

eBay Sues Craigslist

Craigslist, even with the layout is very useful...
eBay probably sees a chance of "keeping it free" while offering 1000 unneeded features for ranging fees, direct kickbacks to their credit card site where they can ding the same person again and watch the prices go up... er wait, I guess I could have just said they'll apply the eBay strategy.
I moved all of mine from GoDaddy to Name Cheap... The freedom to not click through 10 pages of ads and gimmicks just to register a domain is nice. Pricing is nice and they use WhoIsGuard rather than paying another $8 or $9 to GoDaddy for privacy.
What's even better is that GoDaddy won't immediately release your domain. They hold it for 4 days to make sure it wasn't an accident that you initiated the transfer, even with several confirmation e-mails and having to enter transfer codes. I'm sure glad they're looking out for me.
My greatest joy would be to see Bob Parsons homeless, penniless and sleeping in a gutter.
Why is it that people can't just freakin' accept that other people can run a Microsoft OS? Once again a Linux elitist/snobbish post from another person that does more harm for the cause than good. Not to mention the troll billboard signature.
I freakin' love it..:) Now if they could only license some form of Red Baron, I could relive some of the most fun I had with online gaming!:) Seeing that TSN/INN map brings back the memories...
It's a muddy area but the answer is yes and no. Releasing Office for the Mac is like Warner releasing I Am Legend on DVD, HD-DVD and BluRay... I'd say the closest to the opposite of this would be Warner allowing the production company to release the movie with Sony in addition to Warner. Consumers wouldn't really care if it was Warner or Sony if it functioned and had the same options and in turn would lose sales. I also think the reason that Office has existed in the past is to ensure that there has been a "controlled" competitor. Obviously with Apple finding their market with the iPxxxx market that's not really true.
There are a lot of analogies where it benefits a company to release a product broadly or make it an exclusive. I personally don't see a big deal with them supporting BluRay, it will help them much more than hurt them. It's technology and not really hardware. I also think it will (continue to) hurt their 360 sales if they decide not to embrace it. And again on the other side; particular games like Halo or Metal Gear are perfect reasons for exclusivity to their line and assisting in maintaining sales from the hardware perspective.
Fanboy Alert!!

Maybe the competition will leak the details of Assanges' rape.
Enough is enough! I have had it with these motherfucking snakes in this motherfucking fridge!

I think he's saying that it's going to start occurring with the release of SC2.

That's odd because I can rebuild my system in several hours sans my "full" game load-out.

Me too.... I'm going to go play a few games to get away from this real world drama.

I understand that someone is working on a ladder to reach the moon to stop Saddam.
So I was backing up my movie and music collection, one thing lead to another and yotta yotta yotta and it's backed up.
And what percentage of those shipped with a computer are Microsoft?
