Earlier the female chose her mate by his fitness. Today, she chooses him by the size of his wallet. Evolution 2.0, if you will.
I would argue that she's still choosing her mate by fitness. A "large wallet" is indicative of societal fitness. In civilization, physical fitness has decreased in reproductive importance as it no longer has a significant bearing on our ability to survive and protect the family. The size of the wallet, however, is a very good indication of how well a mate can provide for the family.
Better couple that with a loopback filesystem, to defeat random "find" and "locate" commands. Mount your loopback when you need access to your porn, make sure you unmount it when you're done. The worst thing your may have to do is migrate to a bigger loopback file if you run out of room. Has worked for me like a champ.:-)

Prostitution: Thousands of years old Printing books: Hundreds of years old Film: ~150 years old (~400 years old if you count camera obscura) Radio: ~100 years old Television: ~80 years old (commercially) Computer games: ~30 years old
Some of us have been at this computer gaming thing for a while, and have enough CDs that finding the specific CD you need to play Game X is almost an exercise in futility. Couple that with the rapidly diminishing amount of time we have to actually play the damn games (kids/work/life), and all of a sudden spending 15 minutes to hunt down a CD is a lot more of a hassle than it used to be. I basically refuse to play games that don't have a no-cd crack, either due to convenience, or because I can no longer find the CD to allow my installed copy to run.
Very true, but the correct engineering solution to this is a time or heat based automatic cutoff so that the machine doesn't kill itself on you. I think that was the GP's point.
Quoth PC and Sony Fanboy: And do men and queer women look for the same qualities in women?
I've always wondered that, but never had the right moment to ask one of my lesbian friends (they were all coworkers, so not always easy to discuss that sort of thing). What do lesbians look for that is different than what men look for in a woman?
Given Google and Wikipedia, and the widespread availability of the Internet, I would argue that we already have augmented our minds. It's just not implanted yet:-)
Hell, even if I know why and how it works, that doesn't mean I want to build it from scratch. The goal, after all, is to get to the store, not build a car.
It's still illegal to interfere with any licensed part of the radio spectrum, per the FCC. So the first theater that attempts this is going to end up with a gigantic federal fine.

Computer gaming is still a young industry.

This will be off-topic, but...

It's hard to argue about the business since of a company...
Since refers to passage of time.
Sense refers to sound practical judgment.
Now you know; and knowing is half the battle! GI JOE!
Sorry for the nitpick, but this really bugged me for some reason.
This guy probably thinks that computers are just for porn and that college is just for drinking.
They aren't??? It's not???

Last I checked, the Xbox 360 uses a PPC processor. Does 6 million units count as bulk to you?

Oh yea, your mother uses Macintosh!
:-)
Actually, my mother uses a PC. My wife uses the Macintosh...
We don't speak out against MacHeist because they're not treating paying customers like criminals.
...they would nuke us into the stone age from orbit.
I'm sure I speak for all the xenomorphs and space marines when I say, "it's the only way to be sure."
