How do you figure? I already own a computer. So do most families. Computers can be upgraded for relatively little cost. Consoles can not. I am force to buy a new console every time one is released in order to keep up with technology. Seems to me that the computer is the cheaper option in the long term.
Out of curiosity, what do you do when a particular artist releases 3 albums in 3 different genres? Elvis Costello has been known to do that. Do you put an Elvis Costello folder in all 3 genres, or do you have one EC folder in one genre and have 2 out of place albums?
Hey, I have a 16GB (and growing) music collection, and I still only want the 4GB model. When I travel, traditionally I bring a discman, and about 12 CDs with me (give or take). 4GB is 25% of my collection, and would be days of listening from start to finish, as opposed to the 12 CDs worth that I'm used to. Honestly, it's not that big a deal to make a few choices rather than bring my whole collection. My collection is that big because I like the convenience of it, not because I'm constantly listening to 16GB of music.
I think the real question is, does a greater percentage of Sci-Fi suck then the general percentage of suckage in everything else. And I think the answer is probably no. The general rule is that 80% of everything is crap, seek the 20%. If this book is truly part of that 20%, I'd be interested in reading it.
Judging by the words, it seems like it would synch up well to the tune of "Yesterday", by the Beatles.
Now you know. And knowing is half the battle.:-)

However, in places like Chicago (Midway, O'Hare) or here in South Florida (Palm Beach Int'l, Ft, Lauderdale Int'l, Miami Int'l), people do have a choice of which airport to utilize. I for one would certainly give some weight to WiFI access, since we (USians) have to arrive at the airport so early to jump through security hoops. I'm often at my gate with an hour or 2 to kill. Be nice to have Slashdot^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H..er...work to help kill the time....
Urban legend - according to Snopes, anyway.
Running Down a Dream - Tom Petty
Ah yes, but what did George Orwell do?
1984.
Quoth the parent:
It's called telnet.exe, my friend. It's installed by default with windows. Try typing 'telnet' at a command prompt and see what you get. :-)
No, it runs off a 5 1/2 inch floppy on a 486 DX/33 with 16MB of RAM and a Soundblaster 16 for sensor input.
GMail will integrate with a fat client over POP3. Check here: http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answe r=12103&topic=194

Then why exactly are you here?
You must be new here....

You want Transmit. MacOS 9 SSH proggie.
Here in Florida, the State Troopers drive Tan and black cruisers. Check it out.
Then you're watching the wrong anime. Try Akira, or Spirited Away. No boobs, cool stories, nice animation.
Not that there's anything wrong with boobs, but those two are less boob, more story.
Ghost in the Shell, however, is equal parts boobs and story. w00t.

But can you tuna fish?
Hey, I only asked because a "fact" without a link is an opinion. Thanks for taking the time :-).
Care to cite your source for these numbers, or should we just assume you're making them up?
That's just crazy talk. You mean they're people?
I don't know about you, but there are no lemonade filling stations in my neck of the woods.
Sorry, film snob, this is Slashdot. You want Rotten Tomatoes. Two doors down on the right. Thanks for calling. Now leave us fanboys alone.

B'ger...?
How about the power to kill a yak from 200 yards away? With MIND BULLETS!
That's telekinesis, Kyle.
How about the power....to move you?
