This game appears designed to draw in the kiddie/parent crowd, and the casual gamer. However, Sony needs to recognize that "casual gamers" are not going to spend $600-700 on a console, regardless of how cute the characters on the screen look. Sure, the graphics appear amazing on this, and the physics puzzle play is fresh and original, but you have to wonder... Who are they marketing this to?
Didn't Sony say that the rumble feature was "current-gen" technology and not "next-gen" technology, and that was why they were no longer using or supporting it?
When I've got a PC that crashes and burns, I strip out any useful parts and put it by the curb. Some idiot will always take the thing home thinking it might work.
I'm curious as to how the EU would go about collecting the fine. Wait, let me guess.. the World Court? No wonder Microsoft feels no need to comply with their requests.
From Wikipedia:
By the end of September 2006, there were 8,181 PS2 titles released worldwide (4,554 in Asia, 1,319 in North America, and 2,308 in Europe).
1000/2308=43%
Spin this however you'd like, but that's still not impressive.
No one cares. Console RPGs direly lack in comparison to their PC counterparts. Of course. Since the top selling and top rated RPG's of all time were either only on consoles, or were on consoles first before being ported to PC. (i.e. Final Fantasy 7, Chrono Trigger, etc.)
With Microsoft recently purchasing a company that specializes in in-game advertising, I wonder how long it is until Malware gets a hold of my Xbox 360?
It must be that it is bringing their numbers down: on the law of averages they should be monitoring at least 5 of the MPs. Is this supposed to be a joke? Brits and their weird sense of humor.. No wonder I never understood Monty Python.
I could've sworn I just read an article the other day about how Japanese video game companies were trying to make the social aspects and work schedule of their employees more in tune with the West so that they would be able to retain their programmers. Japan's work week + work conditions = 10 x worse than the West's.
If you were actually an FPS/TPS fan, you'd either game on the 360 or on the best platform, a PC. Don't get pissy with the world because you wasted $600 on a system with no games besides the clearly mediocre Resistance.

I'd imagine that Leia's slave outfit from ROTJ would go for much, much more than $100k.
At some point, one of these Enterprise editions had better have a Starfleet logo on it.
It's a bit early for Slashdot to start posting lame April Fool's articles, right?
They've discovered the badass compound that doesn't take guff from anyone: Dolemite!
If you're competent in your Windows adminstration, then there isn't any danger of your entire system breaking.
I can only hope this somehow involves sharks with freakin' laser beams on their freakin' heads.

There's roughly 8000 titles in the PS2 catalog. So, a 12.5% BC rate. Great job, Sony.
In related news, I heard that Motorola was relying heavily on their development of the cell phone in the 1820's.
I'm curious as to which "web apps" you think Microsoft was developing in the 1980's?

You're so badass, I just peed myself in fear.
Now if he was breaking the moonwalking record, that'd be more newsworthy.

Mr. Kilmer will happy to hear this news.

Red Hat's new mascot = the ostrich.
You're so badass.
