"Pheromone signals from dominant males spark new brain cells in their female partners and could help repair injured brains, suggests a new study by a University of Calgary neuroscientist. This goes against known logic, as battered women almost ALWAYS stay with the abusive man, regardless of all logic.
Because thats what people will pay. Simple fact, these are companies, they live to make money, the more money, the better. That, and I bet that any ad revenue replaces money spent on development costs and salaries, saving money for the company, while the users see nothing of it other than annoying, obtrusive advertisements that are bright, clean, and indestructible, even if the game is taking place in a warzone or something.
Ah, Storybook Weaver. I had the Deluxe version on CD-ROM, which has a LOLtastic text-to-speech generator.
It's a great toy for boredom/stoned/drunk times.
If it's this year, does that mean NO ONLINE MULTIPLAYER?
I remember hearing that there will be no online multiplayer other than Pokemon Coliseum this year. If SSB:B comes out without Multiplayer, legions of gamers will be pissed.
Nintendo has been let off easy when it comes to multiplayer, because sadly no one gives a shit anymore. We all know they're either too scared or incompetent to get Wii games online and rocking.
The Dark Age of Camelot community, at least back when I played (I stopped a year after the houses came out) had the BEST community out of ANY MMO. I mean, our normal servers looked like other games' RP servers, and our RP servers looked like a well-RP'd D&D game. Never have I seen an online community that was gnereally so nice, and not dumb.
Most boring game I've ever played, yet it sold in numbers that are only beaten by the Sims, which is incredible for Myst's time. However, I just couldn't get into a clickable slideshow. Felt like going to an art museum. Even text-based games are more exciting. So I think Myst was just a hype thing, a fluke. No way a game so boring could legitimately be popular. Nope.
I certainly hope not. I'd take pleasure in those people who haven't bought a computer in 10 years not bing able to play StarCraft II on it.
I mean, it's not hard for it to be the best game ever when your PC can't even run an actual 3D game without nearly dying.
This has created numerous [...] ethical problems for users of Linux and other open source OSes,...
Damnit, Jim, I'm a computer user, not a philosopher!
But honestly, I think most of the people COMING to Linux in the Desktop world could care less about these "ethical" issues. Once again, it's just another thing that some of the Linux community puts above having things Just Work(tm).
However, since some of these closed-source drivers aren't working for some, it's nice that AMD wants to open theirs so that eventually they can be modified until they work. A win for everybody, actually.
Yes, like GunBound. And Albatross18 (AKA Super Swing Golf on Wii, but online). And...MapleStory I think?
Anyways, it's just another MMO-ish idea with a grind focused on items instead of player level in most cases. Those who pay money get items that make them better than non-payers, etc. etc.
However, some like GunBound and Albatross18 actually involve something most MMO players are not familiar with: non-point-and-click gameplay. In GunBound, you have to plain and AIM your shots. In Albatross18, it's a damn good golf game up there with Hot Shots Golf, you've got to have actual skill, which is why I love it.
In summary, I hate MMOs because "Time spent/wasted should not equal my ability to play."
We were given 700Mhz IBM ThinkPads that somehow managed to run Windows XP Pro. (This was two years ago)
We managed to brute-force Counter Strike 1.5 onto the things, running at about 20 fps in a 512x360-ish resolution in Software mode.
It was more of a distraction than anything, but being able to write a paper while laying in bed was a nice productive thing about it.
They could have just asked me about the Game Gear, because I still got mine and it's functional and I got a few games. They would have, but they assumed your Game Gear would run out of batteries a few minutes into the questioning.
Don't you people remember arcades? Don't be so damn cheap and whiny. Yeah, I remember paying $1 to play Daytona USA, where the difficulty level on the arcade version meant you could never get close to winning, and paying up to $0.75 to Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, and getting whipped in the first match, and on and on...
The article means "stable: as in it isn't subject to the "touchiness" that helicopters have. Essentially, tighter handling. Plus you can bump it into stuff and it won't die instantly.
I swear the Forecast Channel is always about 6 hours behind for me. I'll be playing near midnight and it'll show me weather from 8 PM, I'll play at 10 AM and I'll have a 3 AM reading.
They should switch to the Weather Channel's service instead.
I spent part of the article thinking, "big deal about the price, someone will just torrent it and that'll be that."
Tomaron nuestros trabajos!
"Cruel" videogames?
Like Daikatana?

Anyone play Myst before?

Now, if life found a way to give birth to sharks with lasers pre-mounted, THEN we're doomed.

He's dead, Jim.
Wrong, they're thriving. This is them in their prime!
So for visible objects, there are non more cold? And it's not going to absolute zero. It's going to absolute one. It's one higher.

Well, I guess this means we now have an effective anti-shark defense system...

Run this story again when the system can tell the difference between D, DD, and DDD. Bonus points if it can handle "higher" criteria.
