  3. There are still two pretty well distinguishable centroids and just because many people don't hit these centroids exactly doesn't mean you can't assign them to one clearly by taking everything into account and allow for some outliers.
    Sports is a special case because a certain aspect of sex is relevant, the one regarding potential physical performance. Also, it is pretty easy for a woman with moderate physical exercise to overpower unerxercised men, so you voluntarily chose an example where the lines can easily be blurred. A genuine sex change on the other hand that changes so many criteria that it clearly moves you away form one centroid and to the other is much harder to do.

    "Serving gays" and "making a gay wedding cake" are two different things. In the first case you refuse to hand over a certain demographic something everyone else gets ( a regular wedding cake ) while in the latter case you are forced to make something you regularly don't offer. The latter case has sustained in court - otherwise shops that only serve a certain demographic ( like female hairdressers or male shoe shops ) wouldn't be possible.

  20. The problem with this comic is that just because a *part* of the system is theoretically safe (the blockchain principle) doesn't mean the rest of the system can't be tampered with. Software industry has a long history of malicious people circumventing security measures in the most creative and unpredictable ways, so software engineers have a much lower self-esteem when it comes to security than mechanical engineers have. If people started sabotaging say elevators for the lulz the trust into those kind of devices would drop fast (pun intended).
