Way to miss the point (yeah yeah IHBT..)..

Artist records music, sells 1000 copies, 500 copies downloaded. If the 500 downloaded hadn't been downloaded the artist would not work any less, the music was already created.
Barber gives 1500 haircuts, gets paid for 1000, the 500 that refused to pay all resulted in say, an hour's worth of work each.
    Do you understand the difference?

Seen any European "sex comedies" lately?

No, can't say I have, what does this have to do with anything btw? And when you write "sex comedies" I think of those horrible college comedies that american moviegoers seem to love (since there is a never-ending stream of them). Ya' know, the ones where at least half the jokes are about young americans and their pitiful attempts at sex that fail horribly due to them having no knowledge of what sex is really like...

The US generally treats it as a private subject that should keep some dignity.

No, The US treats sex as a private matter that should be used to sell records, cars and just about anything else, as long as you don't show nipples or any other "naughty bits"..

A great example is the swedish movie "Fucking Åmål" (Called "Show me love" in some countries where the mere word "fucking" is considered evil *cough*USA*cough*), in Sweden most people saw it as a movie about being young in a small town, peer pressure and a lot of other "normal" issues, in the US people labeled it a "lesbian movie" because the movie is about two young girls who fall in love..

However, after switching to 3D Studio MAX 4.2 (followed by 5,6 and 7) and then Maya I've begun to wonder how I could get anything done with Blender, every time I've tried to use it again after promises that it's gotten so much better since the NaN days I've immediatly noticed that I hate the UI and that the workflow just seems "wrong" somehow..

Now, I have no doubt that some people love Blender, but the opinion of most of the people I work with (all avid 3D Studio, Lightwave or Maya users) is that Blender is sub-par in so many areas that it's not worth it if you can run Maya or 3dsmax instead.. Of course, YMMV..

Let me be the first to say this.. NOOOOOOOO!!

A system like this would pretty much assure that millions of "lusers" world-wide would just click on the Ok button without even reviewing the metadata, then when they share their data with other people we'll have to manually change it, sort of like how lots of mp3s used to have really crappy id3v1 tags (crappy as in "every field is completely wrong").
