    Uh huh. Notice how Central America is *included* in the map of North America, and even is mentioned under "Regions of North America".

    And for God's sake, on that Central America page, it plainly says "Note: Central America is geographically part of North America."

    Also, using the government to write laws to protect your business is pretty much the antithesis of capitalism. It might be "corporatism", if that's even a real thing, but it's sure as hell not capitalist.

    Either you're confusing the Dept. of Homeland Security with the NSA or the FBI, or else the Coast Guard and Transportation Safety Administration are branching way out from their original purposes.

    Besides, anything the government does, by definition, isn't illegal. Look at Social Security... if a private citizen tried to run a Ponzi scheme, they'd be charged with fraud and thrown in jail. And if they then made people join at gunpoint, it'd be even worse.

    Looks good, and I'm optimistic.

    As a plus, this can legitimately deviate from the books/etc... the books were different from the original radio series, the BBC miniseries was different from both the book and the radio versions.... I'd expect nothing less than a movie that's different from all three previous versions.

    This is the same English language where we pluralize words that already end in "s" by added "es" to the end?

    If "octopus" is an English word, as you say, then the plural is "octopuses". I don't know where you're coming up with this "-i" plural, because that's definitely not English.

    You're talking to a forum where people regularly use "virii". (Also "boxen", but at least that's a joke and people don't *really* think it's correct.) I think it's a lost cause.

    That list basically comes down to two things:

    1) You like the games that are on Windows.
    2) You already know it and don't want to change.

    Which is basically what everyone else says, too. But at least be honest about it. Saying things "are easier" is only true because that's what you already know. There's nothing inherently easy about Windows.

    of the people with consoles I know, only 2 have Gamecubes and neither uses it much since they also have PS2s/ Xboxes.

    Odd, out of people with consoles *I* know, everyone has a Gamecube, a couple have PS2s as well, and no one has an XBox.

    It's almost like personal anecdotes don't mean anything!

    I completely agree with your points. It's a big reason why I'm not a Democrat.

    That said, the post you responded to was a blatant joke, making fun of the same people you're talking about. I think the key line was "I blame them for everything that is wrong everywhere." Sure, lots of people do that, but they don't tend to state it up front. :)

    I swear there's an "upgrade all" command.

    I haven't played Civ3 for awhile now, but I really think I remember one.
