Also, using the government to write laws to protect your business is pretty much the antithesis of capitalism. It might be "corporatism", if that's even a real thing, but it's sure as hell not capitalist.
And yes, the USA *should* give up control of [GPS], too.
Okay. How about you pay to build a house, and then let me use it for whatever I want?
Or is it only if the US builds something that they should give it away?
Let me know when the mystic crystal revelations lead to peace guiding the planet and love steering the stars. I'll be over here in the real world, where the people who create things generally get the benefit of them.
"Homeland Security" -- which routinely intercepts electronic communication without a warrant
Either you're confusing the Dept. of Homeland Security with the NSA or the FBI, or else the Coast Guard and Transportation Safety Administration are branching way out from their original purposes.
Besides, anything the government does, by definition, isn't illegal. Look at Social Security... if a private citizen tried to run a Ponzi scheme, they'd be charged with fraud and thrown in jail. And if they then made people join at gunpoint, it'd be even worse.
As a plus, this can legitimately deviate from the books/etc... the books were different from the original radio series, the BBC miniseries was different from both the book and the radio versions.... I'd expect nothing less than a movie that's different from all three previous versions.
This is the same English language where we pluralize words that already end in "s" by added "es" to the end?
If "octopus" is an English word, as you say, then the plural is "octopuses". I don't know where you're coming up with this "-i" plural, because that's definitely not English.
You're talking to a forum where people regularly use "virii". (Also "boxen", but at least that's a joke and people don't *really* think it's correct.) I think it's a lost cause.
1) You like the games that are on Windows. 2) You already know it and don't want to change.
Which is basically what everyone else says, too. But at least be honest about it. Saying things "are easier" is only true because that's what you already know. There's nothing inherently easy about Windows.
Perhaps you actually got sent to the "Learning Director" because you apparently have no concept of how to write things in English? My brain hurts from trying to make sense of your post.
I completely agree with your points. It's a big reason why I'm not a Democrat.
That said, the post you responded to was a blatant joke, making fun of the same people you're talking about. I think the key line was "I blame them for everything that is wrong everywhere." Sure, lots of people do that, but they don't tend to state it up front.:)
Must... not... mention... Vorbis!
You might as well -- certainly no one else will.
If you're going to get music illegally, just get it for free like everyone else --- no reason to pay allofmp3.
Uh huh. Notice how Central America is *included* in the map of North America, and even is mentioned under "Regions of North America".
And for God's sake, on that Central America page, it plainly says "Note: Central America is geographically part of North America."
ignorant.
Yes, one of us definitely is, I'll say that much.
As someone else pointed out, it's state-run.
Also, using the government to write laws to protect your business is pretty much the antithesis of capitalism. It might be "corporatism", if that's even a real thing, but it's sure as hell not capitalist.
Basically: your eyes are brown.
Dude, don't correct someone if you're not sure of what you're saying...
Costa Rica is NOT in North America.
I don't even think I need to add anything.
Don't anger the Massholes.
...or when driving.
We are dangerous when angered.
And yes, the USA *should* give up control of [GPS], too.

Looks good, and I'm optimistic.

since Democrats share the same views as most Americans on the issues.
hahaha, I love this stuff. Democrats are so damn arrogant.
I wonder if the Whigs said the same thing when they kept losing.

Octopi (sic) is definitely wrong.

US residents only
Oh, did Canada finally get annexed? I'll be looking forward to some good beer, then.
that it is US-only.
I'll let Canada know they've been annexed. Maybe we in the US will get some good beer now. Thanks for the heads-up.
This is why we should just stick with IBM's 8 bit extended ASCII characters.
Who needs Cyrillic when you have all those lines and stuff? And the cent symbol?
Hey, Canada's not that bad.
Besides, isn't it already part of the US anyway?
That list basically comes down to two things:
1) You like the games that are on Windows.
2) You already know it and don't want to change.
Which is basically what everyone else says, too. But at least be honest about it. Saying things "are easier" is only true because that's what you already know. There's nothing inherently easy about Windows.
of the people with consoles I know, only 2 have Gamecubes and neither uses it much since they also have PS2s/ Xboxes.
Odd, out of people with consoles *I* know, everyone has a Gamecube, a couple have PS2s as well, and no one has an XBox.
It's almost like personal anecdotes don't mean anything!

Simple things like upgrading every unit of a particular type in all cities can take dozens of clicks.
I swear there's an "upgrade all" command.
I haven't played Civ3 for awhile now, but I really think I remember one.
Not unless having .aq makes Antarctica a country. (or the many other non-country ccTLDs...)
It's the Arabic alphabet, so it's sort of correct, but that'd be like looking at English and saying "it's all Latin to me".
Maybe instead of playing games, you should be paying more attention in your English classes.
Except that here, it's played by 9-year-old girls
In the US, they're too busy playing soccer.
