For starters, they could fix the window Z ordering bug thats been there since Win95, and has been in every release to date, including Vista (ever seen a focused window below a non-focused window when both are not Stay On Top windows ? I have on Win95, Win 98, Win2000, Win2003, Win2008, XP & Vista). There are many other little bugs that never seem to get fixed, I'd prefer to get these annoyances removed ahead of buying new eye candy.
In order to work, the game producer is going to have to rely on gamers buying new hardware incorporating the chip, and at the same time exclude the vast share of the market that doesn't have the chip. Either that or produce software that allows it to work with or without the chip. So either the producers lose a load of revenue, or produce something that potentially bypasses the chip security. Why bother ?
They may well hand code everything, 'cause it really looks like they do. The link in the OP just proves the point, its the most bland page I've seen in years. OK, i dont always look for eyecandy when reading the news, but this is like something from the 70's.
I hope they will do this, and then realise thats its a big mistake when customers go elsewhere. Its a great opportunity for a competitor to steal some of their market.
for Police to actually do some real policing & solve crimes without relying so heavily on DNA. Yes, DNA proves the DNA material came from one person, but police rarely bother to investigate how the DNA arrived at the scene. If I shake hands with someone, and they then pick up a knife & stab someone, my DNA will be on the knife as well as the criminal. Police are lazy & have DNA as their "silver bullet" to prove guilt without any effort.
You should have added the "Slow News Day" tag to this. This sort of pseudo-predication, "whats going to happen in the next X years", article has been buzzing around for years. Very little value & rarely delivers what was promised.
They could easily have used the situation to their advantage, by having their phones used to give false information on where they are, strap it to a dog, leave it on a bus, whatever. They could easily have drawn their hunters out with a collection of phones in a booby-trapped area & ambushed them. Maybe they are dumb & lucky so far...
If you guys know politicians, you'd realise this is just a load of hot air, to give the impression they are doing something about the problem, without actually doing anything. The govt. have been saying for years they will improve police / schools / hospitals / crime, and have achieved very little. Dont worry about it, it will disappear soon enough, when they offload the responsibility onto someone else.
The OP says the engines "suddenly cut off without warning", but the article he cites says "Both jet engines failed to respond to demands for more power". There is a big difference between failing to respond to an increase, and cutting off.
So it 99.9% of all light. That 99.9% seems to appear eveywhere, kills 99.9% of all known germs etc... Why not 99.9356648% ???? Are they just making these numbers up to sound impressive ?
I used to rock at that Lunar Lander video game. Remember it ? You had to fire your burner to make a slow controlled landing. If only the controls are the same, I can fly it !
Can we try to keep the same level of respect when writing about other nations, as you do your own. For instance "(US and Aussie patents pending)". US is a formal designation, whereas Aussie is not. Please either write "(Yankee and Aussie patents pending)" or "(US and Australian patents pending)".
Thank you.
OK, USA is keen to invade any country it thinks isn't fit to have nukes. But you can't tell the difference between LIVE and inert nukes ? Time the rest of the world invaded the US & took their nukes off of them.
Just what is a "glitch-resistant experience" ? Before he was in M$ payroll, Mark would have called this something else. Sorry, but his "technical authority" value, that Microsoft are hoping to use to explain away their bugs, has lost all value now he's making their excuses for them.

... the submitter doesn't know about lawyers expenses ? Who do you think pays for the flight ?
- time for a patent troll to patent these protocols, and then sue Microsoft for using them ! Lol

Every one else (Microsoft, Mozilla etc) have said their browsers are secure, why should we think these guys are any better ?
So if they are going to be charging me for using Windows 7, can I expect to get refunds when it doesn't work ?

PONG. The first "console" I ever owned was PONG, it had 4 games & 2 rotary controllers. Man, that rocked my boat back in the day.

That would be the R2D2 model of phone you have there then ;)
resistance is futile
but until they invent a vinyl turntable & storage unit that fits in my car, I'll stay in the 21st century. kthxsbai.

AI is only a problem is you have no friends & play SP all the time ;)
Go MP, its much more challenging
As Scotty would say "If we can divert the phaser banks through the dilithium crystals we could boost the warp drive".
I've uninstalled it, it keeps using my bandwidth to distribute my downloads to other viewers.
