A while back, Penn Gillette wrote about his charter flight on a vomit comet. His was the second charter, right after the filming of "The Uranus Experiment," which he mentioned in the article.
Oh Sweet Zombie Jesus!! Talk about sloppy seconds!!
It may be hard to get invited back to Poker night if you're that stuck up guy who won't even have a beer because it'll mess up his game though.
That's right!! So get so comfortable with the statistics that even wildly drunk (and loud) you play well, so all the "sobers" who had 1 beer who think they know the odds better bet wildly against you thinking it is beginners luck that you are winning.
It sounds risky, but it has worked many times for me in local bar tourneys.
Thats pretty funny from a MindlessAutomata[n] (1282944).
Are you a Christer or Dominionist too?
Seriously, some of Deepak's later stuff has been a bit fluffy, but his earlier publishings were very informative to students of both New Age philosophy and energy work. He explained the chakras and personal energy fields very well. I have spoken to Reiki masters who cite his work, Wiccans(and other occultists) who have improved their magics from learning energy control, and Martial artists who have improved their skills through better visualization of their chi/ki just to name a few . All thanks to Deepak.
One's use of an OS does not bespeak their worth as a person or teacher, just as one's faith in a diety does not justify their continued existance.
Dude, speaking of BS, your feeling that they OWE you something for you making use of a service they are offering is ridiculous. They are not charging you for the service. If you do something awesome with it, they should have they right to promote themselves with it and protect themselves in the process, after all, it's their tools, their servers, their dime, you are just supplying the pics of your cats fighting your collectables in your mom's basement and a little imagination.
Get over it. If you want to retain sole right to the content you created and are trying to promote on the web, PAY FOR THE SERVICE YOURSELF! cheapskate.
If you buy one of their routers, it will come with 12GB of online swap space for your Wii's internal memory. To quote Nintendo's future explanations of the service: "Look, its better than a HD because there are no moving parts and we make nightly backups."
I normally don't respond to ACs but I feel the need here
Disclaimer: yeah I know you're being sarcastic, but some people actually believe that bullshit.
I live an hour south of Washington DC and despite our proximity to the international culture there, I find an incredible number of people here who share his outlook. There is a really good chance he was not being sarcastic.
But since he did not have the balls to post as a real/. member, we may never know. On the other hand, despite your excellent and informative points, it looks like you could use some balls yourself.
The cost of monitoring, administering, taking action and fielding the incoming support calls from irate customers who have had their service suspended is probably more than simply capping bandwidth and charging for over runs.
You are on to something, but take it up a notch...
The bots are a potential revenue source. The zombie traffic could push normal users over the caps resulting in extra usage fees. How long till an ISP exploits this intentionally (hijack or buy a botnet and make them send files back and forth)?

You forgot to answer the most important question.

Just $215?
Given the cost of inflation and the devaluation of the dollar, that seems a bit low.

Did your wife mind the "expensive entertainment" you bought?
It is (legal after all in) Vegas/Nevada!
I could really go for some shaved beaver right about now.
This being slashdot, finding beavers here is rare, shaved even more so, but an earlier post mentioned Bears. Perhaps they will do for you?
(I know we should not feed the trolls, but this one sounds really hungry)
"Please, no more science raps. The LHC by Alpinekat is pretty unbeatable anyway. What next, a programming language? I can't wait for the C-rap!"
Dude, it's all C-RAP!
and alpinekat's work would have been much better if they had written the music instead of sampled and overplayed an already overplayed 90s song.
On the flip side of that would be the large # of botnets that are foreignly controlled, which is where most of TFA's attacks probably originated.
Also take into account the # of computers running unattended (and likely infected)in the US vs the rest of the world.
So, do we try to cut off the monster's hands or its head?

Mod parent up,
most of us geeks wish we could fight.

"No great genius has ever existed without some touch of madness." -- Aristotle
I try to refrain from responding to ACs, but this one needs clarification in my mind:
It is madness if it remains within your perception of reality, and Genius if it exceeds them, forcing you to re-evaluate your place/stance.
Oddly it looks a lot like the pictures I have seen of the surface of Venus.
Taken by a Russian craft, I believe.
I'd throw in a first post, but it would just be spam!

I was expecting something eye-scarringly horrific, instead I came out vaguely disappointed, yet also somewhat relieved.
I hear there is even a video:

I think you are trying to say
" Is tis forrowing some kind of Mooles Raw?"
