Sure, people will more readily do horrible things if told to do so. It's easier to live with it if you "had no choice" but to follow orders. The problem with that is that they do have a choice. They will always have a choice. Ultimately it is still them that pulled the trigger and thus are just as at fault as their superiors. Just because most people are mindless sheep doesn't make it right or a good excuse to not lay blame and punishment were it's deserved.
It's about personal accountability. And in a lot of these cases, these people should have known the requirements before even signing up. They're stupid before, during, and after. They should get no pity.
Don't have an account at all then. It's not a requirement of living, and in fact is more a hassle than it's worth even in the best of times. The victim is easy to blame because they have all of the power in the world to stop situations like this from ever occurring.
Don't sign up and share needless web accounts? Check. Don't let name-calling get under your sensitive skin? Check. Don't kill yourself? Check.
See. The victim is the one allowing for everything to happen. Nothing it being forcefully done to bring pain to them.
Please. So-called "cyber bullying" should be even easier to avoid and/or deal with than anything physical. No one is pushing you up against the computer screen and forcing you to read the demeaning comments left on Facebook. All you have to do is not give your e-mail out to people, make your social networking accounts private, and ignore "mean poopy-face comments" that others tweet. Subcoming to this new brand of ethereal bullying is more about a lack of fortitude from the "victim" than anything.
Teachers don't care if students learn or not. School isn't about learning, it's about conditioning. Bullies play an essential role in said conditioning. Without them, the weak and scared might grow up with a decent amount of self esteem.
An even better way of publicly embarrassing them is to simply fight back. Nothing weakens a bully's resolve quicker than having the crap knocked out of them. The bullied learns a valuable lesson in that as well; stand up for yourself.

Know what a tune-up is? You used to have to do one at least once a year to keep your car going. Not really done anymore.
You don't check and change the oil in your car? You don't swap out the spark plugs and check the plug wires? You just wait until your breaks begin to squeak and the dummy lights on the dashboard pop on before taking your car to an overpriced dealer for anything, right? Man, I'd really hate to be your car.
The only way in which a 1970's car was superiour is that it was easier to do your own servicing and repairs.
Exactly. Less problems due to over complicated designs. Having a computer decided what the computer should do is nonsense when you could simply have the pedal directly linked to the carburetor.
The real problem is people who think that not having any sort of actual linkage is a good idea. Vehicles have only become more and more problematic since the late 70s due to increased reliance on electronics in place of actual mechanical parts.
In developed countries there is a general sentiment among the people that obeying the law is something that benefits everybody. In the Third World the general sentiment is that the law is something created by those in power for their own benefit.
So people from poorer, less developed countries generally have more common sense? A nudge toward lawlessness would certainly solve a large handful of problems.
No. If it's an old version, chances are that the creators themselves aren't actively supporting or updating it anymore. If that's the case, why should everyone else continue to support it at their expense?
Or we're stuck with no choice whatsoever because our area isn't deemed profitable enough to even run cable television through! I don't understand why the telephone lines, water pipes, and power lines can run down my road just fine, yet no one is willing to offer anything outside of dial-up and satellite internet access. The government needs to step in and get the ball rolling on exactly this type of thing.
That sounds perfectly reasonable. Maybe this Kevin Smith guy should try getting outside and exercising now and then instead of sitting around on his fat ass in his mom's basement bitching on the internet.

Bingo. The only way to stop bullying is to make it an undesirable activity. The quickest and easiest way to do that is to beat the bully's brains out one day.;)
Is killing people wrong?
I'm sure we could debate that one all day.
No one has to show up to the draft board either...

Not fair to attack the individuals. They're regular people just doing what they're trained (and ordered) to do.
I seem to recall that defense working surprisingly well at the Nuremberg Trials too!
It'd be nice if the young boys would stop enlisting to begin with.
Gaming consoles in and of themselves are DRM. This is just another, even more ridiculous layer.

Yep. It's for that reason alone that the Dreamcast isn't remembered as one of the most innovative, entertaining consoles ever.
Because of you there won't be GTA5 on the PC, much like the latest game from Rockstar, Red Dead Revolver, is only for PS3 and 360.
What, no GTA5 for the PC? Thank you! After the train wreck that was GTA4, I don't care to install any Rockstar games again.

That means that you're already part of the problem then...
All this team needs to do is continue on with the project, strip their names from it, and let it "leak" out onto the internet.

Besides, no one would actually miss Bing. :P

There's already too much realism in these games. I miss the glory days of Quake3 and it's huge modding community.
