Right, because before Marx, there was no government intervention in economies. I'm guessing you're from the USA by the casual way you throw the term "Communist" around.
On the other hand, name a subject where mainstream public discourse is thoughtful and reasonable... It's not just the new and scary things, it seems like people just pick opinions on everything based on what their gut feeling and social circles tell them they should feel like about it and "discussion" in the media is several people like this beating each other over the head. There's no give and take, the issues don't even matter, it's proving the other guy wrong that's important.
Yea, it's not exactly cheap, but then it's not meant to be played for hours on end, either. You can use a maximum of 2 "potions" per 7 days, so that means max. 400 extra AP a week per character, or a bit under 7 dollars a week, depending on how many "coconuts" you buy at once. Again, not cheap for a game, but unless you have multiple characters up the wazoo, it's not going to end up being quite as bad as it would appear at first, if only because playtime is limited.
What's your endgame here? I get blocking ads because they annoy you personally, but why do you care whether others see ads or not? If you were suggesting a campaign to advertise the Adblock Firefox extension, that might be a sneaky way to increase the install base of Firefox, but I don't see the use otherwise.
Some viral ad agency has too much of a budget, rather. Not that this likely took all that much money, but I'm pretty sure it's a fake. It's a Samsung ad, and even if it were possible to get sheep to walk in formation like that, there's no reason to go to all that trouble for an ad when a bit of CGI will suffice.
I haven't seen anyone sane saying the world will end, or even that humans will rapidly go extinct, just that climate change will cause many changes, potentially threatening food production, water supplies, causing political destabilization etc, generally changing much of the world as we know it. In other words, what's being said is things could get quite difficult.
Maybe there was tampering, maybe there wasn't. The CIA isn't exactly a source I would trust not to put out false information to further their own agenda.
Rumour has it there's a non-Microsoft OS available for PCs, as well. In fact, I heard something about them having some kind of "year of the desktop" promotion and giving it out for free. I can't remember what it's called, maybe someone here can help...
Ironically, the purpose of the script is to make the Kindle more useful to its users.
Nothing ironic about it. Amazon doesn't want the Kindle to be more useful than they've designed it to be. They've spent a great deal of money and effort making this platform, they don't want to have to compete with other people selling books for the thing.
Colbert, and Colbert fans, are doing the same thing only in the political/media spectrum and throwing it in the face of the right-wing.
And that's why NASA would be wise to not name the node after him, just as they would be wise not to name the node "O'Reilly" or "Limbaugh" or what have you.
Also if the defendant is not required to provide the encryption key/password, but an unencrypted copy, what's to keep them from providing a "sanitized" copy - how do you check if it's the same bunch of files if you can't see the encrypted data?
Sounds to me more like after1972 no-one ran, since jogging was invented.

So basically what we have here is a lawyer asking, by proxy, for legal advice on Slashdot. ???
Don't try to leverage an old product and rape the memories of the fans of the original.
At least they're pretty honest about it: Silent hill: Shattered Memories

Here in civilized Northern Europe, I don't even know anyone who has a transfer cap. Somehow the ISPs seem to stay in business.

Mod parent off topic! Since when did TFA have anything to do with the discussion on Slashdot?
Someone needs to take their humour disinhibitor pills.
So are we getting a new mod option to go with this? Something like "Achievement Whore"?
How does it increase autism though, if not through environmental factors brought on by poverty?

Why, you convert the heat energy back into electricity, of course, and use it to power the servers!
What about a FIRST post team?
In Soviet Russia, SchrÃdinger's cat observes YOU!

Hence "off his meds".
My kingdom for mod points!

Who goes to see "major releases" for the story, anyway?
