In which case we wouldn't have to worry about as many people, right?
Higher demand = Higher Price
Less People = Less Demand
Guess some people need to get killed according to economic ethics. I say the politicians should go first.
Avoiding the truth by withdrawal from court proceedings seems pretty precedent setting. It's pretty obvious that this case has shady and probably illegal litigation tactics written all over it. All the MAFIAA are doing is reaffirming what we all already knew.
I agree. Feelings are not protected under the constitution, as it should be. Freedom of speech is, no matter who's feelings it hurts. If you are offended by something that somebody says, ignore them, or find another facet of expression or group of people that you can get along. Otherwise, piss off, and suck it up.
And on the other side of the page, this is horrible news for people that like Alltel's service, but dislike the pricing/support/service of Verizon...or Sprint for that matter. The only people who seem to be winning here is Verizon and it's customers -- nothing really changes for them.
The government (and court-approved) excuse for regulating the broadcast airwaves is that the radio spectrum is a limited resource, therefore public, therefore not private property.
Damn, I wish the government had this outlook on gasoline.
The main reason you don't hear about the RIAA winning any case is because.....
They don't.
They use their Gestapo mindset and frivolous law-suit threats until the person they are harassing into submission, and finally settle out of court. The one's you actually hear about are the ones that go to court, and those tend to be in the defendant's favor... (Aside from the legal fees that you'd have to pay.)
But, if I remember correctly, their software is LICENSED and not sold -as is-.
This doesn't sound like a hack at all. It sounds like an interpretation to their software licensing agreement, in Psystar's favor.
They have probably heavily studied that there is no binding agreement in that license that says they cannot do this.
Otherwise, it's blatantly obvious that it's Court-worthy. I have not seen the terms of their license, personally.
TFA only furthers my above post. Maybe these 'security experts' should start going dumpster diving for PC's... I mean, hell, that's a whole new market of revenue there!:)
Computer security begins and ends with the user common sense. If the user is not informed on common data security practices, up to date exploits, viruses, mal-ware, spyware, what have you, then they don't really have sense enough of where to start in the first place. Sure, you can buy yourself all the Anti-virus protection you want, but that isn't going to protect you from ignorance.
Security software protects users from security breaches. It doesn't protect them from dumb.
Poor Soul: "Anybody got one...?"
Bayer: "Yes sir, that'll be $50.00"
Poor Soul: "For a frikken aspirin?!"
Bayer: "Yeah, we haven't made a vaccine for headaches yet..."
You can eat your cake and still have it, it just takes a little patience. Although the cake will look different, and it'll smell bad.
Not to mention the cake is a lie.
Look, even cables get filleted
There, fixed it for you.
I'm pretty sure that microwaving people's brains should go under the "what-could-possibly-go-wrong" tag for obvious reasons.
Firefox has finally beaten the previous Guiness record of Porn being downloaded 8,000,365 times in one day? Wow, that's some caveat.
Wouldn't your bosses and managers have to pay you their salary then? :)

Yeah, I'm pretty sure this guy meant "It doesn't mean anything...."

Well, considering the fact that they are now bought out by Verizon, I very much doubt there will even -be- more Alltel commercials.

Yes, although having a personal wizard to summon at will would still be pretty damn sweet.

3. Coffin
4. Profit!!!

Better than expecting a bunch of pissy posts about how crappy the space station crew was.
Why do you think they all live in a yellow submarine?

Yes, I am so sure that the tens of thousands of game developers out there are going to go...
"Hey, lets make an MMO for NASA for free, while they profit in the millions of dollars off our hard work!"
Yes, I can just see the enthusiasm stemming from this.

...You don't even have to own a computer for them to sue you for downloading music! Hell, you don't even need an address!
