You do realize that in the countries where child labor is practiced that the children NEED the work. I understand that it means that the country itself is in a bad way and that country needs to serve its people better. I also get that the thought of child labor to us is repugnant. What we need to keep in mind though is that if we could immediately stop all child labor tomorrow... Many people would die as a result.
I know I am going to get a bunch of people who tell me, "Idiocracy is not real dude.". But... If you continue to make life simple for the stupid they will in fact breed more. Being stupid is no longer a death sentence nor does it seem to hinder reproduction in the current society. So we are in fact getting stupider.
I am normally all about open. But when you create an app that prevents another guy from getting paid for his app there could be an issue there. You are not the Federal Government. It is not your "job" to take "my money".
On the other hand some people still do not believe that Government has no right to pick a company to loan money to. Oil companies, Solar companies, Car companies, Corn Farmers, none of them.
There are though games that are fair to good everywhere but can with the help of the community really shine on a PC. Counter Strike, ARMA 2, and the like. Games that are decent but games that will become awesome and live long lives due to mods. PCs can if the game designers are smart become immortal on PC. Not so much for consoles.
If all problems but the worst are pointless then progress would be incredibly slow. To all asses out there that believe only the worst problems on the face of the planet are worthy to be discussed... Fuck you. Over.

As to your last point. I hope to do well for myself and my family. Someday to even own a boat. I am willing to put in 50 - 60 hours a week at work plus am working with someone on a business that hopefully will allow me to work less at some point and enjoy my own boat. If you want to do 35 hours a week at Walmart and take my taxes to supplement your lifestyle then I do not have to like it, but since a majority feel that way,, Take my shit and enjoy. But do not act like hard work and risk are fucking evil. People who put in the effort and take the risks deserve what they get and petty, can not be fired, government union, badge flashing, power tripping drones and those that support them can go fuck themselves.
