I agree, I haven't ordered a big chain pizza in years. I go to this little Italian restaurant, I go in, see the owners mother with a huge cauldron on the stove. I ask what she's doing , he tells me (thick Italian accent) she a make a da sauce. Ever since, only place I go. He delivers to my door personally, we shoot the breeze.
Charge$100 for the PPV and this is what you get. Charge 10x for a business to do so and they won't pay. Instead of licensing it to a sports channel, allowing them to charge other channels around the world to view it. Take in the advertising dollars, nope PPV $100 for a lackluster fight with a pathetic ending.
I agree with the over hyped crap. "Movie of the year"! "Best ever!" 10 out of 10. Everyone on FB saying how great it was. Once the hype is over, it hits DVD, the fad is over. The same movie ends up with a 5.2-5.5 rating on IMDb and nobody likes the hyped turd any longer.
It was 100% fake. Like most MMA matches these days. Google about Rhonda Rousey and the wrestler Taz. He even predicted when she'd lose because of upcoming other commitments.
They marketed it like a WWE match, McDick played his mouth piece roll, Mayweather kept his steak, everyone got paid except the suckers paying $100 for this crap.
You don't have to have your SmartTV connected to the interweb. I have a SmartTV, it's Mac address is banned from my router, half the apps it boasted about didn't work anyway. Hulu (not my region) etc. It takes a couple seconds to block internet access, buy your kid or the neighborhood nerdy kid a Soda and let him block the smart tv. Continue using streaming on Android Box.
I agree 100%. I remember the discussion came up of morality. If an accident was about to happen would the car save you (jump the curb n run over people) or let you crash. I also remember Mercedes saying we'll save the driver. So the rich will be saved and the rest can crash.
Our "smart tv" came with a bunch of pre-installed apps that don't work out of box at all. I mean Netflix works, Hulu not available on my region, Vudu didn't work, Pandora didn't work. Yay Smart tv.
Actually it was criminal. They pushed an update/upgrade that failed ALOT in the beginning. Before Never10 it for updated my VM, for amusement I went through the process.... failed. Lost everything on my VM.
This situation happened to many others including business owners. Wiped out many hard drives with no way to recover (unless you consulted a data recovery specialist).
Madden was absolutely rubbish back then, I remember 989 made an NFL that used to smoke Madden. Then suddenly 989 disappeared and was Madden or nothing.
Agreed. My work phone is Samsung, still original 4.4.1 never received an update EVER. Still vulnerable to StageFright. Thanks for the update you promised Samsuck. Personal phone is Nexus 5x. Update monthly.
It's easy to say "then don't buy one if they don't fit your lifestyle". But if the govt is mandating Everyone own one by a certain date, they better make it with a range I can use. I work remotely, 1 week on 1 off. 900km up to remote area, after a week 900km home. When they can match the range of my VW TDI, we'll talk.
I remember late 90s many sysadmin for some reason had "backdoors" into their website in case they got locked out. Simple port scan would locate it and down went the website lol
So nothing of use like being able to edit menus and getting rid of useless apps that are forced down my throat like whatever DAZN is or Crackle. Or actually fixing issues that worked on PS3 media player like continuous play of what's in the folder. Instead of play 1 video, then stop.
You got lucky having a single mom boss. My employer, all have kids, but the moment I call n say a few minutes late, it's a snow day (no buses) so I have to drive her school. Quickly you see a parent who had someone else handle the kids.
But they don't last a "couple" years. My first Android was an Acer that didn't even make it to a year. 6mths board shot, then repair Depot lost it. Moved to Samsung, Every Samsung I owned died at 14mths. I owned 3, all did same thing. Mind you my Nexus did 3 years. And my Nexus 5x is closing in on 2 years and my $80 BLU is around a year. You're paying for the name, that BLU phone is every bit as good as any Samshit on the market. Plz don't complain they "come with viruses" it took about 4 minutes to remove Adups manually (for any competent computer person that doesn't use Win10 or Mac)
People just watch it on YouTube for free because you end up with too many subscription services. Got to have Netflix, then o another show is only Available on Amazon, another series on Hulu but Hulu is Yank only so you need a VPN. People say screw it and YouTube for free
If they could provide a way for me to watch King of the Hill instead of shoving the Kardashians down my throat. I would subscribe, but as of right now only Game of Thrones (whatever that is about) matters. I'll keep watching king of the hill on YouTube.
This shouldn't happen, unless you purchased their set up package, or it was returned by someone else. They then "inspect it" which consists of them wiping the hard drive back to factory settings. Then placing a sticker on it saying "inspected by BestBuy". They threw in the recovery disks because someone forgot to take them out.
See, people use these ideas like "oo I want to see what movies are playing" or to kill time while waiting, some other reason why it's a legit thing to use. Since when did simply enjoying where you are, or people watching become obsolete? The reality is, these people simply check & update their Facebook or creep someone, these are the same people usually that justify why their 9 year old has a cell phone "in case they need to call me in an emergency" even through the school, mall, other persons house has a phone line.

Agreed I remember the launch, the hype etc. Local store sold 1.

Costs $8 bux for beer delivery and takes 20 mins tops in Ontario.
But the President who instantly retired the moment diesel gate broke. Took his 50 mil pension plan, walks away Scott free. Sounds legit

ID to buy prepaid CC's? Since when, I buy them consistently at grocery stores through their self check out line.

Netflix doesn't care, they're moving towards their own content. Just ride it out, wait for the next streaming service that'll stream old classics.
Took 3 minutes to remove Adups from my BLU phone. Hail complainers that have no technology savvyness
