Check out Streets of SimCity. It was a Twisted Metal style car combat game where you would load your games from SimCity 2000 to play in. I thought it looked like a bad game, but its kinda similar to what you are talking about
So because Bush quickly signed the the do not call registry into law in 2003 then that is a credit for governments swift action? Telemarketing has been a huge pain in everyones ass and telemarketers calling during diner has been a joke for as long as I can remeber. By 2003 spam and pop ups were doing a great job of helping to make telemarketing obsolete anyways.
Oh! That reminds me of another great one. I got a copy of "Touch Typing of the Dead" out of the bargin bin for a dollar. It was basicly House of the Dead but with the guns replaced with touch typing. My friend and I got a case and sat up getting wasted and playing that all night.
Is there energy that would other wise be lost as heat provide a higher output? I would assume so. I know if I invented a process that made a fuel cell run cooler and with higher output I'd be sure to mention that. I know very little about how fuel cells work, so any insight would be appreciated
Gizmodo defiantly does not represent the community. Once I saw them call themselves the slashdot for people who actually have touched a woman or something like that. It's basically a "oohhh shiny gadget" blog. I wouldn't be surprised if I saw a post about "this sick new phone, brah" or about "a totally kickin' HDTV." That blog is seriously mind numbing and the last place I'd go for linux news.
That being said I agree that linux should accept what it is. You can argue all you want about better or worse than windows, but its just a different animal and both serve their purpose. I dual boot and both OS's have their draw for me. I end up spending more time using linux and like it a lot more, but you won't catch me going linux only anytime soon.
Its hypocrisy because consumerist is anti-RIAA. They were the ones who did the "Worst Company in America" in which the RIAA won (or lost, depending on how you look at it) and have fairly regular anti-RIAA updates
If the ad placement makes a different in your buying it, then a government warning stuck on the box won't make too much of a difference. It won't tell you if it something over the top (like the loud movies that played on loop in Anarchy Online) or something senseable (like billboard ads in a sports game). You will have to read a review to see if ad placement is an issue. I usually try to read at least 2 reviews on a game before I actually buy it, so for me some government mandated warning label will just clutter up the box more than it already is.
I heard that SoundExchange is part of the RIAA and if the person who holds the rights to the music wants to collect their share they must join the RIAA. Is this true?
There is no doubt that her philosophy was ground breaking, intelligent and extremely well thought out, but when you sit down and try and summarize it then it appears to be extremely simple.
1. Government intervention in the economy is bad
2. Work is man's highest calling.
3. Logic is man's greatest asset
4. Neither greed or ego are not evil
5. And finally, the most ape shit insane views on relationships that has ever been published.
While I'm at it I might as well:
6. ???
7. Profit!
But I should point out I really enjoyed Atlas Shrugged and I agree with her more often than not, but she can get extremely redundant
Well the sad thing is about Ayn Rand is that her ideas aren't that complex and sure as hell didn't justify John Galt's 500 page marathon rant. That book went from "Who is John Galt?" to "When the hell will John Galt shut up?" pretty quick.
While I don't agree with "oh imagine how the immigrants feel" attitude and especially not with the A//E bullshit website the AC posted, I do agree I don't have a problem with this. They are finding someone to do the same job cheaper than we are willing to. We don't have a divine right to jobs just because we are Americans. Let 'em in. If they do the job just as well at half the price then the whole country will be better off.
I really hate to plug a band like this, but this song has a lot of insight on "thoughtcrimes" in Sweden. A while back a racist band named Max Resist got arrest for giving the straight arm salute at a show there. The song is called Battle of Brottby. Its got a fair amount of news clips on the intro and outro to the song. Granted they are knuckle-dragging biggots, but they do a good job of telling their story of being thrown in jail for expressing beliefs outside the mainstream.

I left that game over at that dudes house that night. He might still have it and want to sell it. I'll talk to him about it if you want.

'nuff said
But the artical says at that scale it is extremely conductive

/. has enough shitty memes. Last thing we need is 4chan ones too
Imagine a normal power array but instead with 12 phases. DUH!
...they need to have another iPhone that isn't out yet we can have at least one post a day about.

What can I say, my neck is a little red. I've had "caviar" once in my life. It was homemade catfish caviar. Not the best idea we've ever had.
Chilli-cheese dogs taste better than caviar and the wii is more fun PS3. Money isn't everything
Its true! All the anti-virus companies got together and decided it. They sat around in suits smoking cigars and cackling. Yeah... Yeah... Thats it!

We need a war besides the one we already have?
The Sparter interview had this phrase 30-40% less than interviews with professional gold sellers

That quote, like everything Ayn Rand, is too damn long
I'm pretty sure the law of gravity is a law and not a theory.
