And then I look at the internet. Almost every movie critic thought Far From Heaven was a masterpiece. Why? The dialogue was painful, the story was farfetched and flat out laughable at times, and I thought Dennis Quaid's acting was a joke (I ordinarily like him). What do these critics see that I am missing?
According to reviews on the net, all the problems you cite are intentional. Melodramas from the 50's purposefully had painful dialogue and farfetched plot ideas. Far From Heaven was an ironic update/remake/homage of those 50's melodramas, and thus accordingly had the same problems those 50's films did. You can say you didn't like it (I didn't much like it, but I admired it. I disagree with you on your Dennis Quaid performance, though. This is the best he's ever been, IMO.), but you can't fault a film for doing what it sets out to do.
That's why it's imperative we develop a new information delivery device that runs on gas.
I don't know, with the possibility of a war on iraq looming, gas prices may skyrocket. Maybe a steam-powered information delievery system is the way to go.
is Bruce Campbell's autobiography, If Chins Could Kill. Talks about what you need to do before you actually start filming, and the huge amount of work raising the money takes
Due to kazaa, napster, ftp servers, and limewire, I will never need to buy any Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Rush, Hendrix, Pearl Jam, Smashing Pumpkins, and many other bands, because I got all their music that I could ever want for free online. Had I not been able to download the mp3s, I would have dropped some serious buckage on the albums. The choice between high quality music and spending huge amounts of cash versus reasonable quality music for free isn't really a choice in my mind. Sure, you may point to yourself as a good example, but people like me outnumber you by a good margin.
well accoring to many posts I have seen here bsd is much closer to death than linux. maybe we should focus our efforts on revitalizing bsd. afterall, if netcraft confirms it, its serious. and no, I'm not kreskin.
Well I don't use NT, since I have no use for multiple accounts. Its just me using my personal computer. I don't use IIS, since I'm not running a commercial web server. When I need to serve pages, I load up some simple program I found on tucows. I'm not sure what you mean by tarring up a directory, or cronning something, nor do I know what those commands do. and as for howtos, windows doesnt even need those.
I do all sorts of stuff with my computer, and I have no desire to search through text files or obscure documentation to find if a piece of hardware will work with my computer. I stick with Windows98se because I can watch Divx movies, edit my videos, make music with fruityloops, and do all the other things that probably work on linux, but work fine on 98. I dont need rock-solid stability since I turn my computer off at night, anyways.
why not ask a real "who would win..." question

These hypothetical questions are pretty strange. They aren't real, people! Try this one on for size. Who would win if anti-lock brakes fought redhat 8.0? What if weapons were allowed?
I hear ya. That site went down faster than the Columbia. Zing!
"Are you clean?"

Rescuing Steve Gutenberg's career requires more than just planning. hell, a generous donation from bill gates probably couldnt even do it.
meet the new boss

Then again, he also said the kids are alright, and we only now figured out what he meant. zing!
I do, as a matter of fact. Talkshow 91 I even do guest voices for the show. You can ask DJ Insomniac.
are all that's needed to show how bad FM radio sucks: Creed marathons.

I filed papers last week to change my name to Baron Von Hugecock.

the people who buy an xbox for modding arent gonna be connecting to the xbox's online service.
and have the characters in Sims sit around all day playing sims where their characters protest Mcdonalds?
it's still illegal to play the rom unless you own the original, which, especially in this case, is highly doubtful.
Also, for anyone with a Sony DV camera, the AE Candel Light mode works great for filming the showers
I don't know about you, but i'd rather use one of those x-ray/night vision filters when filming at the showers.
