(For example, why does Mozilla and iTunes put the Prefs menu under Edit? What the hell does changing options have to do with copy/paste and text editing operations? In Windows, that goes under the Tools menu. They are little things, but they make a big difference.)

I've thought about this before, and it didn't make sense to me. Of course, in the event there *isn't* a Tools menu, I always find myself muttering under my breath, "C'mon, I need to edit my preferences"...

If you even open that email w/ a subject of v1agra, you're a terrorist!!!

There's got to be *some* way we can make use of this... Why are the government & big business the only ones who can lie to achieve their objective???

Why is that? Would I do better using a non-official bittorrent link?

  11. Re:To little to late on Universal Music To Cut CD Prices · · Score: 1

~80% of the music I buy (that's right, *buy*) is on CDR. Depending on the band, and how bad they need money to get to the next gig, it'll be $5-7 for their new CD, or $8-12 for their new CD, their demo CD, a sticker & a button. The NoGoods didn't have a demo CD, but they substituted a t-shirt. If they're a decent band & turnout was low, I've even been known to kick in extra, just to show my appreciation.

Occasionally I do have to buy an Avril CD, or something similar (those damn kids), and I have an Emusic subscription that I love. But there's nothing wrong w/ CDRs.

Emusic simply rocks. I've downloaded ~20 albums so far. I even found a couple of new artists. Quality is better than what I use when I rip my CDs, decent selection (though no Titney Spears), and blistering fast downloads.
