    If only Fedora would release a version that includes the bug-fix to fully support SATA drives I'd be happy. Core 3 won't install on my PC as it doesn't like my SATA controller & drive. It times out waiting for the drive during installation, so the partitioning application doesn't see any drives and won't continue. This is a major flaw that wasn't in Core 2, but was introduce in Core 3. A major oversight that has left a lot of people really annoyed.

    Why? Because decent spec Macs are too damned expensive. Jobs could grab the market by the goolies, if he just dropped the price of his computers across the board. The Mac Mini helps, but it's woeful spec leaves a lot to be desired.

    I still use my old P2-350 + 64Mb + 6Gb PC as a Linux firewall and gateway. It works incredibly well - it never crashes and performance is definitely acceptable, even through Cable. I also use Apache on it to develop PHP scripts from time to time.

    Three years ago, I used this PC to serve my website; about 10Gb a month with no problems.

    I keep reading people recommending ATI's cards, for various reasons (price, performance etc.) but ATI's support for Linux sucks. I'm almost on the verge of upgrading my PC and so tempted to go ATI, but then I remind myself how crappy their Linux support is and head straight back to look at NVidia's cards.

    Best Buy can kiss my arse. I received the worst possible customer service from them, the one and only time I went in to buy a keyboard. So I blacklisted them accordingly and never went back. Having read this, well, there's nothing more I can do after blacklisting them.

    I think it's funny how Microsoft have managed to steal into another market, the firewall market, with no complaints. Yes, their firewall may be poor compared to others, but how many people will continue to use it, rather than buy or download another one because they don't need to? I fear another war coming on - the firewall war! If not, why not?!
