I occasionally go to movies and leave my kids with a babysitter. She has my number and I expect a call if something really bad comes up that she needs to deal with (after she dials 911) and the kids have my number too. If the movie theater were to deliberately cause me to miss such a call I would sue their ass regardless of whatever legal crap they posted in their "conditions of ticket sale" fine print. I'm sure I'm not alone.
No, we shouldn't kill people because we're perfectly capable of keeping them locked up indefinitely. If we were some tinpot nation with no means to do so then execution or outsourcing the incarceration would be more of a necessity, but we're not, we're the most powerful nation on earth, so there's no need. I personally don't believe in capital punishment as a deterrent (it's not why I choose not to kill people at least) and so that really only leaves revenge. Maybe I'd think about it differently if someone killed my kids, but it does not seem like a good enough reason to keep execution on the books.
the explanation of special relativity to the point where even people with no scientific background can start denying it and petitioning schools to represent alternative views in the curriculum. Intelligent magnetism perhaps ?
I believe that in some jurisdictions "No Trespassing" simply means "no right to enter in order to do anything mischievous", not that there is no right to enter at all. Of course "Trespassers will be shot, survivors will be shot again" means the same everywhere.
Not every router is used solely for the internet. Also, they don;t have to report to China, they just have to be deployed into a critical network and then suddenly stop working when china wants them to. Finally, if they're going to be sneaky, who's to say the software image they provide is made out of the source code they provide ? I don't see them providing the means to compile the source code to an image.
You could probably make one for less than $100, you would be one of the coolest aunt/uncles ever, bonus points when you get it to write his name in the air
As a piece of furniture in an office I see standing desks now as the in-coming thing and I would imagine that they too will be defunct in a few years as offices re-arrange to make better use of the space and people find ways to work at home without having a dedicated office room. It's the desk that's days are numbered.
I can see the office of the future full of la-z-boys and cup holders.

Isn't Florida Atlantic the same place the guy claiming that Obama faked Newtown is faculty ? How august a center of learning can it be ?
And that, ladies and gentlemen, is why real engineers aren't wealthy.
British Fraudsters.
Well actually I do, it's great to have an alternative voice and hopefully this will bring more understanding and humanity to the news.

Don't complain about the FCC, they don't make the rules. You should direct your invective toward Shannon, it's all his fault.

You wouldn't leak it ahead of checking it though, maybe not even after checking it. You'll know they've found life when they say nothing for a while.
so it's really 10,506 counts of murder.

The papers just write down what they read online.
No, they depreciated everything else in the case, but it turns out not the RAM.

you'll need the MSP430 launch pad, a hosepipe, some electronic water valves, some simple electronics and a swingset to make one of these waterfall swings.
