  1. Has anyone else noticed how bad the sound-mixing is in Nolan's films when in theaters. You can barely hear what the actors are saying. It was like this for Dark Knight Rises and Interstellar. I did some research on it and apparently its a creative choice. Nolan is one of the only directors that could still get me to go to the cinema anymore. But if the sound mix for Dunkirk is terrible, I'll be waiting to see it on Netflix. I have a home theater set up that's comparable to a full theater anyways.

There's a solution to that. Big AAA game will start to be censored for China once the Chinese become a major consumers of console games. That may mean in some circumstances the rest of the world will get censored versions as well. It may also mean we get a more interesting variety of games as not every AAA game will need to be a power fantasy for white 20 somethings.

So when we're talking about gun control, taking an amendment from the 18th century and applying to today's technology is bad, but if we're talking about net neutrality doing the same thing with a 1930's law is somehow good? Pick one, liberals.

Legally speaking I would say conservatives have a better leg to stand on simply because an amendment is much more fundamental to how our government is supposed to govern. I don't really agree with either of them completely.

I read somewhere that Nintendo had 15 billion dollars of cash reserves. So assuming that's true they can do this for 50 years.
It's kind of a shame actually. I love Nintendo's philosophy in game design. If Nintendo had a platform that was helpful to third-party developers I might want a Nintendo system. If Nintendo Developed for systems other than their own I would likely buy more of than half the games they release. But I have no interest in buying a Wii or Wii U.
I'm not worried about Nintendo. Plenty of idiots will eventually buy a Wii U for the latest Zelda or Whatever ends up being the first big killer app for their system.

That's good for the few who can afford the best trained teachers in the world. Good teacher are unfortunately an inherently limited resource. You're right that in the short term big data will probably not help our children to learn much. In the long term however I think that it can help students by understanding their needs better than their teachers ever could. Check out what CGP Grey has to say about this.

Yeah there are lot of mechanics stacked on top of the COD core of the game but the shooting itself (which is the core of any FPS) feels like COD. Which isn't a bad thing the core mechanics of COD feel very good. Stacking all those extra mechanics on top of the COD mechanics makes them slightly interesting again.

Check out Rogue Legacy it's one of the best games I've played recently.

If multiplayer is more your thing I've been playing Loadout it's one of the first free-to-play games I've actually enjoyed.

I had access to the Titanfall beta if Call of Duty with Mechs sounds cool to you then you'll probably like it. The whole game is much better implemented than COD.

The Dolphin Emulator Devs finally fixed some major problems with Wind Waker in the latest snapshot so I've been going back to that.

For upcoming games the two I'm most anticipating are The Witness and No Man's Sky. Though I'm highly skeptical of No Man's Sky. It's incredibly ambitious for the small team working on it.
