I hardly ever use my cell phone held to my ear. What I am interested in and haven't seen yet is what kind of radiation Bluetooth Headsets puts out compared to the cell phones.
OK, Mr. Anonymous Coward. Why don't you re-post that with your/. nick instead of spewing slander under anonymity? Your comment was not only rude and vulgar, it was also very much racist. And, FYI, I am NOT an American you tool!
Sony may not be a pristine white angel, used excessive measures for protecting their intellectual property, and retracted a few features that made their products more appealing to the geeky part of prospective customers. But this, this is going way way too far. What would we do without Sony if they were to wither and die under all these attacks? Whoever is behind this obviously is no longer trying to hurt Sony, but crush them while they are down licking their wounds.
I'd have to call it that for this reason. 1, who is going to notice an antenna on a tripod while they are typing their "s3kr37 c0d3z" and 2, he smashed the keys so hard while he was typing I bet even a deaf person could have heard what he was typing. I do see the logic behind how it works but it did look a little suspicious to me.
In my opinion, the only thing good about Vista is the Aero interface. I love how Vista looks but I don't like how it works. I'll be sticking to XP until either another functionally equivelant version of Windows comes out or till I die from old age. I fear the latter will happen first.
Duke Nukem fans have been teased for some eleven years now about this game with cameo screen shots or video clips popping up every few years of our beloved Duke kicking a little alien butt. I for one gave up waiting for it's release in 2002...
I grew up playing the shareware titles that were downloaded from local BBS systems with the rest of the Duke fans. We've all grown up now and have had a healty dose of 21st Century gaming. 3D Realms has taken so long to get the product to market they have had to rewrite it several times just to keep it up-to-date. If this thing ever does finally get released, it's going to be just like the scene in Back To The Future where Marty is in the Cafe 80's and when he gets the Wild Gunman game working, the kids take one look at it and say "You have to use your hands? That's a childs game!"
I've typed in my name, email address and phone number and nothing has come up.. Does that mean I am still anonymous? NOPE. I have an unlisted phone number and still get the junk calls like everybody else. So why do we even bother trying to stay under the radar when it's no longer possible? It's because WE still hope it can be done. Privacy issues have been around for a long long time even back before the Internet became a household item. What's changed you ask? Not a whole lot except now the government can do anything they want without our knowledge! Wait a minute, they could already do that!
People in general have become more aware that privacy is just an illusion which makes a lot of more paranoid people running around screaming about it. (Conspiracy Theory) I'm not the first one and certainly not the last one that wants to get the veritible nose of the government out of my stuff. I'm a law abiding citizen and keep to myself but I sure don't want them sniffing through my dirty laundry because we all have it. Give us our illusion back so we can all go about our business as usual!.... Anonimity is a lie!.....
Kmart to drop Blue Ray sales and Wal-Mart to sell a sub-$100 HD DVD player. http://www.tgdaily.com/content/view/34650/97/ See the pattern here? Both Kmart and Walmart are among the top leading names in budget department stores.
If you have your PC set to notify before downloading updates, you can simply uncheck it when the yellow shield pops up. When you close the window a box will pop up asking if you want to install it later. Just uncheck the box again and it will never ask again.. Worked for me!
I'm a trek fan though I am not really looking forward to this movie. After the flop of Nemesis things just seem to keep going down hill. After hearing that Paramount auctioned all the Star Trek props, I wonder what they will use in this movie..
I don't and probably never will own an IPhone but, knowing that Apple is a hardware developer, I would tend to believe that if you buy an IPhone, you are outright buying it and the ownership rights to it as well. If that were not the case, that would mean once the service is terminated, you must hand over your IPhone (that you paid out the rear for) back to either AT&T or Apple. I certainly don't think AT&T nor Apple will want to deal with taking people's used equipment; they don't with their computers, why would they with their IPhones?
Mostly because in the US, the Wireless providers want to prohibit (as best they can) the customer from moving to a different service. So in the long run, if they lock the phones, that forces the customer to have to cough up more money if they want to move to a different wireless provider.
I don't think it is the question whether or not AT&T can stop hackers from unlocking their IPhones because once the IPhone is purchased, that should give them legal rights to do with it what they want. I think the question should be rather if AT&T can prevent activation of the IPhone on another carrier's service or not.

That's our hard-earned tax dollars at work there!
It's NICK White, not NICE white. Typo in the /. write-up.

Note to 3D Realms -- Either relase it or shut up!
Oh, great! Now we can watch the annoying HeadOn commercials in HD!

Hard drive manufacturers have always used the ISO specification for defining the capacity of hard drives. This is nothing new.
