Yes, after using them, certain components may develop new problems. Also, you may wind up with extra passengers (and high payments for repairs and maintenance) if you're not careful.
I'd characterize the initial objective of Social Security as a way to take care of people who lived longer than average by taking money from everyone... As the average lifespan has increased, the eligibility age for Social Security hasn't increased lockstep.
If they want people to upgrade, why don't they push FF3 to FF2 users via the built-in software update function, like they did with the other releases of FF2?
When you make a copy of a copy, it's sometimes not as sharp as the original. I can just see some of these Mac clones crashing with the error message "She touched my peppy, Steve!"
But interest income is taxed at the same rate as earned income. People with a lot of money in certificates of deposit (which includes a lot of wealthy Americans, including President Bush [1]) have the interest taxed the same as ordinary income.
[1] But not Vice-president Cheney, who did have a lot of stocks and mutual funds the last time I checked. It's pretty interesting how the two of them (Bush and Cheney) are both wealthy but have very different investment styles. Bush's investments are much more conservative.
You're right. But when you turn it off, AVG comes up with the big red exclamation mark in the system tray, alerting the user that something is horribly wrong, when in fact, a stupid and useless feature is disabled. I think when I simply manually turned off the plugin in Firefox, the AVG monitor didn't go apeshit like that.
Amazon's "position" notwithstanding, they have a warehouse in Kentucky, and began collecting sales tax on Kentucky orders once that warehouse opened. While they may have complained about it, they aren't putting their money where their mouth is by refusing to collect the tax.
Am I the only one who wonders how this guy has been able to make a living for the past two decades with his vexatious and non-meritorious lawsuits? I can only presume that most of them were dismissed or otherwise lost.
Is he independently wealthy and just doing this for shits and grins, or does he receive some sort of assistance from crazy wacko family-oriented special interest groups?
Yes, they should be required to write checks. This type of "settlement" is a sham.
I remember the Iomega Zip Drive "click of death" "settlement." As a party who owned one of the affected drives (although mine hadn't failed yet), I was entitled to purchase a new zip disk from Iomega at a price of $20, at a time when independent retailers were selling the same disk for less than $20.
If he has an estate (assets to pass to others), the attorney handling it can issue a subpoena to the service providers. (Getting them to comply may be another thing, but it's worth a shot).
I for one welcome this new synthesis between vice and medicine. What about strippers who can cure STDs and gambling to cure dyslexia?

"(I think because you can get higher compression without pinking or something)."
Yeah, I hate it when my car turns pink. People start mistaking me for a Mary Kay salesman.
Sounds like an appropriate starting point for the jet wing... Perhaps with the help of Cialis, he won't have trouble keeping the wing up.
I thought that 3G was the newest/best data standard. So why are T-mobile introducing a G1 phone that's two generations behind?
Apple iPhone - best phone in the world!

They named it after an ingredient in some varieties of Sex on the Beach. Tastes nice with Chambord, vodka, and fruit juice.

"Your data rate increases by (absolute worst case) a factor of three..."
No, the worst case is if you live in a non-3G area, and your data rate increases by nothing, but you still have to pay for the 3G plan.
Just use CFLs. They're just as good as incandescents.

Seems extremely convoluted. It should be a checkbox option on the custom install. And it shouldn't be turned on by default.

"Yes...I DO want to live for ever."
And I want to be God!

$1000, insane stunt bonus!

Looking at the past 10 or so stories, comments aren't percolating to the top (or sinking to the bottom) at anything near the normal rate.

How come RIAA posts no longer carry the MAFIAA tag? Did Slashdot ban certain tags from further use?
