  1. Very interesting.... on First Ever Web Design Survey Results · · Score: -1, Redundant

I really like web design and web technologies. But I can't make the plunge over cause every deal I make the people want something for nothing, and when I worked at a web design firm, it was an extra $100 bucks to make another page that matched the template and changed a little text. But you either gotta rip them off or do it for free, nothing in the middle that would benefit the designer and client. Very frustrating, also I would need someone to bounce ideas off of, or have one guy find the jobs and the other guy do the job, I get burned out doing both.

I think that having multiple game consoles hooked up in a way to do mass amounts of scientific computations is very super, think about, those consoles are designed to crank out so much mathematical data for graphics and game terrain simulation that all output to the gamer flawlessly! Heck I would cluster xbox's if the memory wasn't so small and other problems (talking of the first xbox not the 360), I wouldn't touch a PS3 if I wasn't gonna slap some Linux on it and run it as a computer.

  7. a reminder device. on New Phone Wants to be Your Personal Trainer · · Score: 0

I don't think you need a device to do all that, it is just another consumer electronic that will try to tell you, "If you buy me you will lose weight!" Well my phone has a PDA built in and reminds me of everything, and guess what! I seldom do what the reminders say unless they have immediate, negative effects, like a bad grade for not turning an assignment in, or not going to work early when I should have. Sooner or later we have to take responsibility for what we do and how we treat our bodies etc etc. The mentality that consumer electronics will do it for us, will eventually put us all on trendy life support machines....if we worked at whatever dead end job we still have at that time. I'm not too worried that all that will come to pass, but I just wanna express how dumb a phone like that would be....unless maybe if you were a doctor of some sort and wanted to merge devices that you use on a daily basis.. :-)
