Why would I pay for it just because it comes from a web site?
Perhaps because it is possible to influence the type of content played to a much wider degree than by changing frequency and it have the ability to give recommendations based on your preferences. Which airwave radio station can provide that service?
Next they'll probably follow the lead of a Swedish school that use fingerprint scanners in the canteen as a method of avoiding non-students freeloading. Amazingly since they first introduced this at the school in 1997 only 10 students have refused fingerprinting.

The real question is will they force Apple to do the same, or does the Little dictator of Cupertino get another free pass?
The day that Apple corners +80% they probably will
Why is it that so many seem to completely overlook the fact that this is happening becuase of Microsofts dominant position on the market?
My first thought was basically how the heck can people even comply with this if they wanted to.
Easy. Cue think of the children mantra. Outlaw import, sale and possession of any router that do not log all your activities. With the privacy intrusive laws we've seen introduced in the US and elsewhere the last 8 years, such a development would not be the very least surprising.
Get over it. I'm fat, but I do not get something specially done for me, and demanded by the government.

Color Blindness = Not self inflicted, can not be fixed.
Which is different from bribing the disgruntled sys-admin at the company, how?
In many cases even a underpaid, undervalued, overworked EDS 1st line worker can have access to very sensitive data on the customers servers and PC's. I certainly did back in the days when I worked/slaved for them.
This made me visualize not X number of terrorists planning attacks and recruiting in these chatrooms, but X number of spooks gathering info on another in the belief that the other spooks are the real thing.
Having spent significant time in both subtropical wild nature and Scandinavian forrests as well as busy cities like New York, Hong Kong, Manila I beg to differ. While the amount of sounds in a subtropical forrest can be very large they in no way compare to the unnatural sounds of blaring car horns, screaming cab drivers, car engines, hordes trampling another (somethimes to death) during sales season.
The former I (and probably most people) find peaceful and the latter stressing. The danger of getting harmed is also much greater in the latter, be it by crossing 5th avenue at the wrong moment or looking at a unstable stranger. Sure, being in the wild also involve a certain amount of danger and it's subsequent cognitive effort but, I am convinced that it is not even anywhere near to what is the case in a modern large city.
We're told that his plane was running out of gas, which is a little bit odd for a highly experienced pilot like Connell, but apparently, when the plane went down, there was an explosion, a fireball that actually charred
[nitpicking] The tanks can very well have been empty of fuel but still have exploded, gas fumes are quite prone to exploding under the right circumstances too. So, in no way do the reported explosion rule out the possibility of the tanks being empty of fuel [/nitpicking]
really what choice did they have? I can see a class action from *lots* of angry people who's computers have been hosed and bank accounts hoovered would cost far more then not acting. Not to mention the loss of faith.
Not blody likely, read #17 in the XP EULA. Any other MS EULA are bound to say something similar. I would have quoted it but the filter objected to the caps usage hence the link below.
Doh! I completely misread the post as "take the time to code a antivirus for their system?"
But if Mcafee and Symantec perform on Macs as they do on Windows I reckon that I weren't completely off target.
With the exception of ultra-rich celebrities every drug addict will rob people and would not hesitate to kill if a living person stands between him and his drug.
Can you provide any other source than your arse for that claim?

Will it help me "assimilating" Seven of Nine?
Gah! It should read: The day that Apple corners +80% of the market they probably will.
The real question is will they force Apple to do the same, or does the Little dictator of Cupertino get another free pass?

See, see, solid evidence that one download = one lost sale. If he had not been able to evaluate Spore he would have bought it. We got you now TPB.
Mwahahaha, The plaintiffs in the TPB trial

And rightfully so.
Indeed, see above.
Sounds useless, but to answer the question - using the power switch could cause file system corruption.
Not if you use the powerswitch on the monitor/television which would generate the desired effect too. ;-)
Make it freely available, usage may soar and the damage might be greater than tobacco.
There, fixed that for you. Or do you have any hard evidence to support your claims?

And even more puzzled as to why I didn't pick up on the 3D part right away.
I too am puzzled as to why somebody would drop 1300 bucks on a pair of 640x480 goggles when they can be had for 300.
