You realize, I hope, that you just agreed that all organized religions are cults. This is correct, if we are being pedantic. Just sayin'... good for you!
Or you could just go to the TaxCut website, prepare the filing, then, before submitting it (and thus paying for it), just download it to your computer through some means and then print it off and mail it in for 42 cents. That's how I roll.
In grad school there were rumors of a Journal a former student had started called "The Journal of Pointless Studies". I submitted for publication to said journal a mathematical proof of the non-existence of the null hypotenuse. Since I was an Economist at the time, one Professor thought I meant "null hypothesis" and wrote me off. Another got the joke and then proved the existence of the null hypotenuse. Oh yeah. You know you wanna be me.

I have a "Web Programming" cert from O'Reilly. One of the six (> $300 @) courses comprising said cert required me to "learn" Unix. I think we got as far as the 'ls' command. The O'Reilly folks are where I turn first for IT books, but, these courses simply do not measure up.
Running a positive campaign can not be understated here. It will mean a big deal if people see beyond the mud-slinging and use their brains. Maybe instead of being just an "idea", we can make the USA an actual place on the map.
It was pretty easy to tell that conversation two was a machine. And yes, it does matter -- you can fill Deep Blue with every game Kasparov had ever played to that point, and tell it what to do in each position. As soon as a new position arises, Kasparov has the advantage.
In the US of A, we are now, and have always been, guilty until proven innocent. Just ask the guy who gets accused of [insert_disgusting_crime_here]: with all the news coverage to follow said accusation, the guy may as well forget about living in his community thereafter. People view him with a suspicious eye, and attribute his later acquittal to a hole in the system. Am I cynical? Yes. Do I have reason to be? Let's see -- I was once arrested and spent a day in a holding pen on a warrant that did not exist! With lawyer fees, court costs, and the fee for removing the arrest from my record, I spent > $3,000 in one day. And for what?
Sorry about the delay in responding, as I just saw this. Though I would love to be, I am no physicist - you surely know much more about this than do I. My first thought in response to your question though is this: let's say we have our infinitesimally-small universe that is acted upon by something inside a common, larger, or nearby universe. (I pictured this as two dots inside a larger circle on paper)... when the action happens, then the big bang happens, the big bang causes our dot to explode in all directions at once. Perhaps that act consumed the object that acted upon our dot. I.e., the big bang consumed, and thus destroyed that information in its earlier form?
This deserves a +100 for "just plain awesome".

Social Engineering.

You update your blog as frequently as I do, and I don't even have such a shuper-shweet blog! But seriously, man, Putin is HOT.
Here, here!
This one deserves a +25 Insightful.

Exactly. Same reason we have a "God" today.

I'm pretty sure there is no "comfortable weather" on Venus at any altitude, what with the incessant lightening storms and constant (real) acid rain.

Methinks you meant Chris Hansen, not Stone Phillips :)
B caused a change in A before 13 BLYA. We see A behaving as a result of that change, but we still see A behaving 13 BLYA.
I wish I had the mod points to move you up for this one. Bravo :)
For some reason, this was what I found funny today. Bravo.
