Why could AOL not "keep up"? It's not like AOL members didnt have the same access to the internet as non-AOL internet users. People who used AOL had the regular internet PLUS exclusive AOL material.
I would blame their demise on regulation (An attempt to keep is "PG 13"), Price, and Poor customer service.
Europe buys from Russia because it is cost effective, not because Russia is the only source of gas.
Europe could survive without oil from Russia. However, the current infrastructure to supply 100% of their need from sources not inculding Russia doesnt exsist. Concept supported by the oil/gas shortages caused when the Ukraine limited the flow to Europe from Russia in 2006. So, if all imports from Russia stopped, there would be a period of time wher there would be oil/gas shortages in Europe.
I didn't claim that not everyone went to the schools. I implied that the Best and the Brightest excel because they are the best and the Brightest.
No evidence was given that one room schools houses turn out better or worse students. Just that they wer eable to turn out some of our histories "best and brightest". I claimed that those that became our best and brightest would have done so regardless or oen room or multi room schools because they were the best and brightest themselves.
but those one room schools turned-out some of America's best and brightest
I think that might have more to do with the Students being the "best and brightest" to begin with, and not a result of their teachers / one room classrooms.
What if I had a sheep 5 years ago, but it died. If I tel lyo uabout it now, wher edoes that fall? Is the subject of the exsistance of Black Sheep still up to debate because I do not have physical proof of the sheep I once owned?
Sure, there are words like "loo" that can be easily figured out. But there are other times when someone says a complete sentence, and you have no idea what they said. Not every conversation inculdes such easy to spot visual clues as someone walking to the bathroom.
Plus, I think you over estimate the average Americans willingness to watch something the have to "figure out". People like to related to the characters on TV. Listening to them speak with an accent, and use terms they do not use and sometimes even understand will turn people off.
Those minor changes are important. The Average American is not going ot understand all of the British slang, nor be willing to learn it to start to enjoy the show. Switch from British to American actors/slang can work well (The Office).
Except that it's mere existence will taint the original. We who haven't seen a godawful sequel will still have to content with all the zombies out there running around shouting things like "the second one was soooo much better".
So my ability to like or dislike a movie has the power to taint a movie for you? Kind of cool to know I have that kind of power over you.

I actually enjoy that feature. However, it would be nice if you could turn it off.
We require truth in advertising, not journalism.
5. Rest of the world drops software patents too.
That boring middle aged man is probably thinking the same thing when he talks to you too.
I came here for this, leaving disapointed.
I've tried, but I have yet to find any in Stormwind.
Even if they did, couldn't you vote with your wallet? You won't die if you don't have that latest "Call of Duty" game.

That is just comparing it to other games.
As a generic form of entertainment, $15 a month for ~10 to ~40 hours of entertainment a month is a damn good deal.
A movie will run you $8 and only get you about ~2 hours of evertainment.
Well at least one of us will know that black sheep exist :-)

Absolutely Fabulous was hilarious.
And I don't see how any of those that you named do not fit into "a bit campy, a bit odd, and not for everyone"

By that logic, is anything "unnatural"?
I beleive Aerodynamics is an important part of vehicles lie kthe Aptera
/I could be wrong
It is a green house gas. Sure, a certain lvel of it is needed, but youdon't want more then what is occuring naturally.
I'm pretty sure the car is not designed for places with snow.
Living in Arizona, and driving a vehicle with two wheels, three will be an upgrade from my current situation and far more stable/safe.
Or can't still vote!
Is "Beat your Wife III" for the X-Box 360 not violent?
