Just a wild thought, but would it be possible to set up a dish on the top of the mountain and either set up a repeater or run a cable down to the house?
no, i don't know of an existing system that does this, but i do know of others with a similar problem.
maybe i should apply for a patent on the concept so when someone does i can get rich! (jk)
i was given one years ago, but somewhere along the way it was lost. does anyone know where to buy one?
it'd be a cool thing to have.

In Russia the OS renames you!
sorry, i couldn't help myself
i use nspluginwrapper, but it doesn't work consistently.
some pages don't work at all, and when opening multiple tabs, only the first one using flash works correctly, all consecutive tabs are broken.
now all i need is a version of flash that works consistantly on 64 bit hardware.
then again, maybe not
you made me laugh.
if i had a mod point you'd get it.
is there a way to test or check that people who might be part of the bot net how to see if they have it?
rather than gong on about what it is doing, how about we spread the word on how to stop it one computer at a time.
very sweet!
i know it won't happen over night, but it will still be nice to apt-get my ATI updates.
you described it perfectly.
and yes it used to work in software mode, abet painfully slow. it stopped working when i got my ATI drivers working
did you use the mesa libgl.so?
btw, thanks for the tip
don't the Christian Scientist have prior art on this?
i can get newer versions to install, but it won't run past the splash.
i've had the older verions running, but that's been a while.
if there is a trick, i'm all ears and eyes.
a 64 bit version of Google Earth would be awesome!
yeah, getting caught so quickly is definately against policy.
they didn't think it would happen until after it became a standard.
ot, but i love the sig
i got another method.
go out into the parking lot and read the bumper stickers.
Ooops, i hate it when that happends ;-)
i think the field will end up being Ubuntu for home and Redhat for Enterprise.
Redhat has shown that they area stable business for many years. they've weathered all the shit storms that have been dumped on them and keep on going.
Ubuntu is just a good desktop. i can see them taking the home/newbie markets for years to come.
never let it be said that Linus is never wrong. good thing too ;-)
Oooooooooooooh
i need one of these for the dogs next door.
Too Enterprise?
if that is the best complaint they can come up with, Linux must really be doing good.
what a cute little troll.
ya beat me to it.
i was being sarcastic. :D
If it's good for the canadians then it must be ok.
my kids have been having trouble the last few days with wireless connections dying and their mice stopping.
my Debian Laptop is the only computer in the house that hasn't had trouble.
growing up i could never decide what i wanted more, a light cycle or a light saber :-)
