Just give her this geek toy and write, "Valentines is stupid, meaningless, and over-rated. I'm too sexy for a valentines card, but this shit will do. Happy now?"

Geekiness is sexy, as long as it's played right.

When someone has trouble in Math, Linux, or in any technical subjects, the geek's immediate reaction* is to ostracize the person and brand him as a n00b.

  13. Snippets from my notes on (Useful) Stupid Unix Tricks? · · Score: -1

Yikes, I don't know if anyone would read this since I have a negative karma, but I'm pasting snippets from my notes:

If you wish to syntax check (lint) all the PHP files in your current directory, simply do:

            for i in `ls *.php`; do
                    php -l $i
            done

You can delete all IPv6 addresses in an interface using the following command (vanilla Bourne shell):

    while i="`ifconfig le0 | grep inet6 | grep -m 1 -v '%'`"; do
            ifconfig le0 $i delete
    done

To inspect all figlet fonts visually, simply do:
    % cd /usr/local/share/figlet
    % for i in `ls *.flf | sed -n -e 's/\(.*\)\.flf/\1/p'`; do echo Slashdot | figlet -f $i; done | less

    (note: I'm using FreeBSD. YMMV.)

  19. Ninja Rap Music on The Ninja Handbook · · Score: -1

Section 6 welcomes him or her to the International Order of Ninja, covering the top brass of the organization, ninja internships, and a bit of ninja rap music.

There are infinite ways to store ninja music. One exciting way is to gather a large group of pirates and hang them upside down to let them represent a series of bits. A live pirate represents 1 bit while a dead pirate represents 0 bit. Music can be stored efficiently this way. This is a write-once storage medium because bits can only be turned off, not on. Ninjas prefer this storage medium.

Wouldn't it be cool to let the pirates double as a music player too? The pirates can be arranged into an array and their heights can be represented as a single note which they need to sing. The space between the pirates represents time. Their heights can be manipulated by the simple process of cutting off their limbs. This method is energy-efficient because we need not use electricity, although it would be cool to electrocute the pirates while they sing.

  20. Large Hadron Collider on Interplanetary Internet Tested In Space · · Score: -1

This is clearly related to the Large Hadron Collider that was recently activated.

When the Internet was invented at CERN, the scientists realized that it was impossible to set up an Interplanetary and Intergalactical Internet because signals can't go faster than light.

In order to solve this, they needed to create a portal to cut off the travel time. Thus, the Large Hadron Collider was born.

I have this weird hobby. I get a kick on getting a negative moderation on some forums (including this one, obviously) with innocent non-troll looking comments. It's like I'm exploring the nature of human behavior. It satisfies my curiosity on finding out what stimuli induces certain reactions, and finding out to what extent it is malleable.
