I feel the same way. I saw Whale Rider with my girlfriend a few months ago at our local indie theatre, and absolutely loved it. I was happy to hear that Castle-Hughes was up for the Oscar, but I doubted she'd win, just because most of the fucks doing the voting probably hadn't even seen the movie.
I agree, but only because I've seen him play a more hopeless Englishman in the Black Adder series. Take a look at it sometime. It's very good, and way, way funnier than Mr. Bean.
Untrue. At the University of Saskatchewan, for example, I've seen numerous instances in the humanities where a "0" is given for that particular paper. Going in front of the disciplinary committee is a huge pain in the ass for both students and professors, and as such, profs prefer to settle it on their own. Which, of course, means that the student just gets a failing grade for that assignment, not the course.
I'd do something like this more often (I had a regular jogging regimen up until October), but where I live, it goes down to -30 or -40 in the winter. Pity.

My subject was grown grammar nazis, and I believe I'm a member of that set. Therefore, I didn't have any issues with you or your postings; I was referring to Slashdot in general.
Given that this is Slashdot, home of the illiterate ill-spoken many and one of the few places that can make a grown grammar nazi cry, I'd have to say it wasn't.
Yeah, that should take about a week.
Haha, someone flunked out of school, or couldn't even make it in the first place.
Only if you switch that option on. I'm a vi-guy, and even I don't (well, admittedly, I use vim/gvim).
Been playing since 96, still haven't ascended...
Problem is, that doesn't lower your karma, thus punishing you for trying to inflict your weak sense of humour on the rest of us.
It's too bad nobody's developed first-post blocking technologies.
Do you want to come back to my place, bouncy-bouncy?
"Jacques", you smelly American infiltrator, you.
LOL OMG BBQ
You might be the most illiterate person to ever post to Slashdot.
YHBT. YHL. HAND.
Hwaet?

I live on graduate student wages, $12500 (CDN)/year, and do fine.
Brown, too. (hundred-dollar notes)

No, but you are.
I was going to flame you, thinking an American had said that, but then I saw that you were Belgian (or close enough). It's all about McChouffe beer.
Because they'll bomb the shit out of anyone who says otherwise. ;)
You don't want to touch that. I've heard she's hairy.

I have both, and my UID is logarithmically smaller than yours, kemosabe.
Booyeah?
Or, judging by your post, English.
