i don't see why thats a problem, back when my desktop was running with 1 core and 2 gigs of ram, i ran 4-5 Virtual machines at the same time(not a lot of ram for them, but linux doesn't need alot of ram)
now i have 8 gigs and both cores usable, i don't worry about much
well it just took me 20 minutes to do a little 800x600 picture.
i don't have $45k to spend on a gaming comp atm, so ill just stick to my world of warcraft, that can run on 10 year old comps

If the ISPs Can't supply the bandwidth they have on the label, then its there fault, not the application developers fault, that the rest of the users cannot access the internet? Sure they will need to use more money, but it wouldn't hurt anyone except the CEO if they invested more into bandwidth.
