Mine is just a FrankenPC P3-1ghz/512MB. I have it running GB-PVR, which has been working nicely, if a little quirky at times. The Hauppage PVR-150 does it's job well. I have been playing around with MediaPortal a bit, although it's a bit too much for my system to handle, I think. MythTV taxed my patience, and after much twiddling about with it, I've put it on the back burner for now in favor of the (gack) Windows based solutions. I was recently given a 2.6GHz machine with a bad board in otherwise mint condition, so that's gonna be next in line one I order a replacement.
This is the current list of things to do for 0.1, in priority order:
* place all precautionary / compatibility notices
* blog about nightlies; link to from wiki
* fix all major dataloss bugs
* figure out versioning / compatibility / build plan
* fix dogfood bugs
* forums, calendar blog post about nightlies
* announce to mozillazine
* fix all known dataloss bugs
* fix remaining blockers
* release 0.1rc1
Indeed- I did this about a week ago. I was able to recover data from a seriously twitchy drive by sticking it in the freezer in the employee break room. It took a couple of sessions to get everything off the 60GB drive, because once it warmed up it just vanished from the system... It had a broken interface pin as well, so it was quite an adventure making the sucker work long enough to recover the user's documents.
I have throught that some form of randomizing function in an RSS reader would be a good idea; so that the readers aren't all hammering at the door at the same time (ie the top of the hour). Don't know if that would make much of a dent or not.
Didn't 3DRealms have a similar problem with Shadow Warrior some years ago? Something about having to convert the throwing stars to darts... As I recall they had a patch on their web site that unlocked the game. Seemed a clever way to circumvent the censorship.

rAmen.
Gary Larson also received a similar, uh, honor.
The style of art, I suppose.

What exactly is a "dogfood bug," in this context?
"I feel happy! I feel happy!"
