I have been playing around with OpenSolaris since it came out in VirtualBox and it seems cool. But I have had some issues with it so I shall hold out till the next release which isn't too far away.
Firefox 3.0 has been best browser experience for me. And I have used browsers for a long time since the Netscape days. What Mozilla has for me made it very hard to use any other browser, as I compare the others to Firefox 3.0 and see if they match up any way to the standards that has been put on.
Lets just hope more and more software would start selling on the system so that third parties would make money out of it, and I just don't mean casual games but also core games.
They can recall all they want I don't think the ones who bought the machine are obligate to return the unit.
Correct me if I am wrong, but once a consumer buys a product it is theirs and the maker of that product doesn't really have any authority as to say what the consumer wants can and cannot do with it, not even ask them to return it (if it's not a safety issue) as the consumer paid for the product. At least that is the way I see it.
This might not be a big news, but if you do try out the distro then you will know how impressive it is. I am very excited about the final release and am planning on replacing my Ubuntu 8.04 installation on my laptop to Mandriva 2009, as I find Kubuntu Remix 8.04 a bit buggy (this might changed with 8.10 release). The theme for Mandriva 2009 just looks very good and really give out a very good impression.
This actually a very good idea, and I don't know why no one has done this. I like and will take a look around and see what they have. Currently interested in audio books.
I am in the same boat as you, I recently graduated and work in IT field dealing with hardware, software, networking, tech support, and training. I am currently looking for programming job but nothing too "hardcore." I am pretty good with webprogramming/database management and I prefer that.
I would suggest to you something like a QA position, program manager, or program analyst. Good luck finding a new job.
Well mine isn't that advanced but I ordered a NAS kit from Newegg.com where you can put in your own HD (IDE in my case) and it has a web interface for the setting it up. The NAS runs ftp, smb, http, torrent downloader, and it runs on embedded UCLInux.
Well what I did with my old desktop was I donated to a local computer shop, which turns around cleans up the equipment and replaced whatever needed to be replaced (in my the hard drive) and sell for a very inexpensive price or they themselves donate to organizations.
Well going to have take the LiveCD for a test drive and see how Fedora 9 is. I also found out the Linux Mint 5.0 Beta 1 is out (here are the screen shots of that system) which I also plan on downloading and testing out.
I read this morning on Linux.com about how a dad install Edubuntu on his computer(s) at home and his kids love it. You might want to take a look at Edubuntu.
This was a very good article, I don't much about Atari as it was before my time and this article gave some really good insights.

Well there goes the neighborhood!

1:1 you say...hmmm...so the light saber game will be even better now!

Well I have MetroPCS as my carrier and they unlimited texting so I pay about $50 a month of my mobile phone bill.

Well I for one am glad the ODF won...lets just hope Microsoft would implement it properly.
What a rip off, might as well just go with Vista, and if you don't want Vista then go with these.

Yeah it looks like a sweet deal. But I would like to see it in action.
