Doesn't suprise me at all, in fact I always had a conspiracy theory about it as well as most people who buy the crap.
Um... So guess what aisle makes or break a Best Buy store. Home Theatre?? Nope. A close second for mark up though... It's the printer aisle! If it weren't for ink and USB cables stores like that wouldn't exist.
You know that USB cable that the average Joe pays 26 to 41 bucks for??? I can get it for $2 with my discount. ZING!
Schumacher has no problem gabbing on the radio durring 2-4 lateral G's. And how about all the Rally drivers who have to be involved in their conversations whilst hanging a wheel over a cliff... THIS STORY IS RUBBISH!!
I grew up in eastern WA, and living over here in Seattle for the past 3 years, I definatly enjoy my visits back home... I can actually DRIVE my car over there... it takes 10 minutes to travel 15 miles, compared to the 45 it takes to go the same distance here. Western WA is out of room and over priced.
Who would have ever thought Connell would have DSL!?!? Strange but true, the town of a little over 2500 has 128up and 384 down.
Are porn vids what made VCRs "famous"?
Are porn sites what made the internet popular?
I'd answer no to those.
You would be wrong.
We had this discussion in our History of film class. Porn has driven EVERY new technology. The first nickelodeans where nothing but softcore. Albeit, softcore back then was a bellydancer but you see the point.
My history of film instructor got one of his first jobs at a mass vhs porn dubbing facility, back when VHS was starting to become availible. The funny thing though, is that it was also the dubbing facility for the Care Bears.
The PS2 (like every other gaming console) doesn't offer anything that my PC's don't, other than perhaps a few game titles.
How about stability, 100% compatibility with every game on the shelf, and the fact that consoles give the developers a chance to tighten up their code by giving them specific hardware to write for. The Gran Tourismo games are some of the best examples. They use assembly.
too bad they were too dumb to realize that PS2's have been going on ebay to the tune of $5100 bucks... I should have reserved ten of em.:(

funny how clueless idiots like this guy get angry at people who just want things to work. Boy! I want to live in your world where fashion designers, interior decorators, and here's what really made me laugh out loud.... GRAPHIC ARTISTS... are wiped from the planet, because they don't compare dick sizes all day long on a message board. lol... skate on bro.
Exactly...Glad to see I'm not the only one who thought... "like...barf?" Looks pretty snazzy to me... and hey how about we all save our opinions until we see it in real life. sheesh.
The other reply is correct, G4 is a nice processor but the marketing numbers Apple floats are complete, unadulterated bullshit.
I don't know about you, but when I saw the dual G4/500 vs P3 1Ghz photoshop test....well, it was pretty obvious. True that's only one app, but what people on/. forget is that most people who use macs are doing graphic/design work.
yea, let the early adopters get the shit beat of of them. hehe. I just want something to hold my MD player, in a way that says "i don't have an MD player in my coat".
>>I just purchased an aqua colored iMac a few weeks ago and have to say I am underimpressed. My emachine was about half the cost, runs more of the software I need and has a better user interface. (Why do we have just one mouse button again? Using two to save navigation steps is too complicated?)>>
You're right man, it was Apple all along. They *made* everyone go gaga, ease of use sucks! Down with the mouse! Any one else get sick of people thinking their cool because they jump on the anti-bandwagon bandwagon?
Actually... the controller is your remote. I don't see that being too big of a problem, especially since most of us play games/watch movies sitting in our coutch. And in all honesty, I use my DVD remote rarely. A gentle push on the drawer and the disc goes in and starts up. After I've seen the "special features" once or twice, it's a rare occasion to return to them. Hopefully the cords on the controllers will be a bit longer this time around.
Funny that you say that, because it has happened to me. When I moved to Seattle to go to school, I called the phone company to get the service hooked up. They required my SSN and I gave it to her. She asked for it again. I repeated it... she asked yet again, and I repeated it number by number... Finally I had to have my roomate sign up for the phone because my SSN didn't match my name!! She said that when she entered in my number, it came up with a 65 year old man in another state! I haven't had any other problems since, but that sure did scare the crap out of me!
Scoff and laugh all you guys want, but imacfloppy came in real handy in my case. I was without a zip drive last quarter (the USB Zip drive just came out not too long ago) and I had a class where we would work on small photoshop and freehand files. Rather than spending time in the crappy labs (8100/80's on 14" monitors) or trying to find an open spot in the sole G3/300 lab, I'd just u/l my files to imacfloppy and work on it at home. I also had a design class that would let us do some of our projects on the computer...Again, screw the crap labs, I'd rather work at home thank you very much! Then all I had to do was u/l the finished project, hit the lab real quick to d/l it to my zip and then take it to the imaging center to get it printed out. I tried transfering files via Hotmail, but for some reason it couldn't handle.sit files. Hotmail would d/l it as a document or something and expander wouldn't recognize it. Now that I have the USB zip drive, it kind of renders the site moot for me, but you have to remember this site was out BEFORE there was any sort of floppy or zip drive for the iMac.
I like to hang some of them up... *shrug*... I still like Epson. They and Cannon I say are close in quality.

I have the macally imousepro for my iMac. It has an LED for each button that lights up when you click it. I could easily do without the *click*.
Actually... you can just open the pdf in photoshop and see everything fine.
ummm... heh. Check out ign.com/ The PS2 HD is also has an ethernet hookup so you can hook up your DSL or cable modem.
