    While this is an okay idea in concept, it won't really work out well in the real world. Lets say I am working on some stuff in GIMP and have a few palettes set to "Stay On Top" ("Keep Above Others" here in KDE 3.4.1). Yippie, it is working great. Now...what happens when I go to bring up my email client...my web browser...my anything. That freaking palette is STILL on top.

    That is no go.

    A feature like that needs to be built into GIMP so that it puts that window on top of the artwork, don't make the Window Manager place it on top o' the whole world.

    Why would a corporate license show as pirated? Do you really think that MS doesn't know which of their keys are corporate ones? That simply makes no sense.

    3) Get machine infected with spyware+adware
    4) Piss customer off to the point of buying a new one
    5) Sell NEW PC to fix problem-PROFIT AGIAN!
    Return to step 3, repeat...become freaking rich.

    See...we missed the boat...MS has it down, and the average user doesn't even blame MS for having to buy their new PC.

    They do a staggard release to help bandwidth issues. It is released to the FTP servers/mirrors first, then hits the auto update servers.

    Would I love saying I get 30+Mbit to my house? Sure...am I even happier that SBC dropped DSL to $14.99/month (1.5Mbit) and $24.99/month (3.0Mbit)? Crap yeah. More is better...but cost is a big factor, and SBC has the winner for that right now.

    Never had a single NIC in Linux bound to multiple IP's have you? Used to work for a company where a single server would have a good 200 some IP's running on that one little NIC...no issue...no problems, the switch's could have cared less.

    Yeah, I wish I could find a good rugged came for my Lawn Mower Racing. Right now we are thinking about mounting a cheap old camcorder to the hood and just using a capture card...but a reall dv cam or wireless cam would be really cool. THe problem is with rolling your mower. That hurts the cam.

    • 16 Unified Pixel and Vertex Shaders
    • OpenGL 2 and DirectX 9
    • SLI mode for extreme performance
    If not...then nope, I will stick with something cheaper!

    Konq isn't a web browser. It is a KParts container. It just so happens that a very popular Kpart is to load in it is KHTML. Though KHTML can ofcourse be loaded into other KDE apps as well. On top of that, you don't have to use KHTML as the renderer for Konq looking at web pages...there is a Gecko based KPart too (though not as mature). Or...heck, just tell KDE/Konq to use Mozilla/Firefox for .*htm* and it will happily do it.

I vote for the Presicion. If you want me to give you a comparision for a really decked out Dual Processor G5 the difference is even greater.
