But what will they call it? New Newark NJ?
Vortex Island sounds too much like a SyFy movie of the week.

I'm a little hard of hearing in one ear and made the mistake of clicking on a Google ad for an hearing aid. Now everywhere I turn there are hearing aid ads
Got me a Roku box and it has Netflix (which is adding more recent films and features as we speak) and Amazon streaming, it has everything else the PopBox has plus other features like news, old ass movies, and syncs with your iTunes movies and music. It cost me less that $100. I should by a PopBox for more and giving me less? Que Lastima!
It seems the Roku box is Swiss Army knife
Retired and looking to move someplace that allows me to live well on my fixed income, I'm looking at South America right now. At the moment Brazil or Ecuador are up for consideration
you have to give them this one. The "Gray Lady" isn'tthe hippest news on the planet, but you have to admit they're right. Would YOU buy a Windows phone over Android or iOS? No of course you wouldn't. Most people on/. are into linux, open source, etc., etc. Even I installed Ubuntu on a home computer that I put together as a TV box, and I'm 63!
I agree. MAYBE the e book readers were a bit more intelligent and took notes or high lit things they wanted to remember, as I do. I don't scribble in the margins on paper books. Sister Mary Frances would rap my knuckles
I'm never buying a Windows Mobile device again. Ever. I used devices using PPC 2002 through Windows Mobile 6.0 and had problems with each, mainly the soft reset dance. I now have iPhone, and while not perfect, at least works .
the stunt performer who played Godzilla from 1984 to 1995 - portrayed Pulgasari, and when the Godzilla remake was released in Japan in 1998, he was quoted as saying he preferred Pulgasari to the American Godzilla.[1]
I'm a retired pharmacist and thought it might be fun to work part time at a Radio $hlock selling gadgets (which I've always loved).
The last Christmas I worked there I was told that I would have to sell THREE accessories with every cell phone sale. At least three accessories and my job depended on it. We were told that when we sold a cell we would have to pick the three without even asking the customer if they wanted them and bring them to the counter as if they couldn't exist without them if they had this phone.
So what's the big deal? These guys aren't the first, won't be the last to try this crap.
I quit RS, and I'm my own boss selling stuff that I don't have to hold a gun to the buyers head to make a profit.
Give a damn about those workers...in China? Since when has any company who manufactures their products in China ever really cared about the workers? That's why they manufacture in China, cheap labor they can look the other way at.
Man, it's been the same shit from Genghis Khan on down. When you have 50 gazillion peasants who cares about a couple of million.
OK, first we had a brain cancer scare, now we have a "it's the cause of the bee population declining".
The first one I believe is pretty much groundless, but the second I'm not sure. First of all we DO have a problem with a decline in bee population which is causing a problem in agriculture. We don't know what is causing that decline, but I think we better find out damn quick.
The problem with keyboard is this: Not every country uses the same alphabet. That's one reason the OLPC project couldn't make their target price of $100/unit. With a tablet that alphabet can be fixed with software rather than hardware and Q. E. D. you CAN get the price down to the original point.
In addition, I heard somewhere that it will have at least one USB port so you could plug in a keyboard if you wanted
Yeah that's one of Newton's laws or something.
Why didn't they do their testing before it came out? If they knew about it why not own up sooner? I love the iPhone but there's shenanigans here

I used to have a thing for Barbara Bain, never could figure out why she would go for Landau.
This is how we got Al "SNL" Franken and Jesse "THE BODY" Ventura as elected officials.

A sole traveling, untrained Peace Corps kid is already making a big damn difference.
The Maker Shed is quite expensive compared with sourcing things elswhere
Do iPhones Dream of Android Sheep?

Just tell 'em to get off the lawn, and your not giving them their ball back
you are wrong, but still naive
