I know from experience that a lot of Ad based publication agencies for RF magazines also offer search engine optimization for a particular customer.
It's generally offered as part of a deal like "I'll put you ad on pages 100, 125, and 150 and then we'll send you over some web developers to help you clean up and optimize your website."
Personally search engine optimization is hit or miss and I would definitely not pay $10,000 for something like that. Sadly this is one of those cases were a little common sense could have gone a long way.
I actually like Circuit City and prefer it over Best Buy any day. However one cannot beat online prices for electronics. Mark ups in stores is just a joke.
I never see people actually use the batteries in their laptops. They're always tethered to some wall outlet. That's half the reason I own a laptop! I never carry my magsafe adapter and run all around town with my macbook pro and still can get home with enough charge to plop down on my sofa!
I'm not an expert on international law, but if the employees aren't in Italy then why should they worry? I doubt a US court would allow an extradition for a crime as meaningless like this.
Also is there a mirror of this video? I want to see it since some employees could be getting into some trouble because of it!
Easy. Stop outsourcing your IT and pay well. Sounds almost too easy.
Oh and move all important critical information off of a network that has access to the outside world and make the penalties for doing work at "home" well known.
I knew this was eventually going to come to an end. I wasn't sure, but I'm happy that now I can safely know that this organization can just be quiet.
My question however is Ray Beckerman. I haven't been reading or seeing his comments as of late. Is he doing well? The last I heard of him was a Slashdot article saying he was hushed against blogging on a case.
Ithaca College's Park School of Communications is now offering a video game design major. Now personally I immediately thought, "Oh boy, a com school is offering a class for video games completely separate of the CS program. I'm worried that what they're doing is just scratching the surface of video game development by giving a broad look at video game design.
I think what colleges need to do is point kids in a specialized path. Unlike Ithaca's program I think that it would be better to point oneself in a path specifically in programming, graphic design, or even writing. That way instead of doing a ton of things marginally well you can do the programming, graphics, story writing, etc.
Then again I'm just a lowly undergrad student. They could care less about my input. Just as long as they get my 42,000$ a year. I mentioned this to one of the advisers for the major and she assured me it was doing just that. I'm still a bit skeptical however.
I know! I commonly tell people computers are a lot like cars in terms of their complexity. People expect their cars and computers to just work when in fact we know that just isn't the case.
When my Macbook Pro just refuses to boot up I try verbose mode and see what the error is. If my car is making a pinging noise it's safe to assume that there is some sort of knock going on.
I personally run Windows XP sp2 and I don't run any anti virus software.
I use Firefox and a firewall and I'm never worried about getting into any problems. I don't install random EXEs from untrusted locations. The firewall tells me everything that is going in and out and how much. Adblock also does wonders for protecting oneself.
It takes a special person to surf the internet without protection, but then again after working in IT I realize I am smarter then most of the people I deal with on a regular basis!
Of all the nerds I've meet I doubt that putting them next to models will make them better looking.
Take a look at this high school http://www.collegiateacademy.com/ . They've done just that. No sports teams. Just a lot of emphasis on math, the arts, and science.
I am the Chairmen of the Nigerian Treasury. I have recently come into the possession of inheritance from the Esteemed Master Defenestrator . Unfortunately I cannot use take possession of his honorableness's inheritance locally. I therefore must move it into a foreign account. For the sum of 700 (SEVEN HUNDRED) BILLION UNITED STATES DOLLARS (USD$) I can deposit this into your banking reserve system. You may keep 15% (fifteen percent) of the total amount for your troubles.
We look forward to your correspondence. Please make your time.
The article is an incredible waste of time. If you really want (fairly) accurate basic information on how a cellular network operates go to Wikipedia or head over to www.howardforums.com . The fine people there are incredibly educated and can give you a basic understanding of what hibby jibby stuff goes on.
Heads up for those that are interested. Ohio University and Ohio State University are two entirely different academic institutions.
Ohio State is the largest receiver of RIAA notices. Not Ohio University

They can use these fighter jets to fend off the pirates attacking their oceanic data centers!
In all seriousness it sounds more like a , "Dude I own a fighter jet!" then a, "Let's defend our data centers from Microsoft and Pirates!"
We've finally found out who goatse really is!
Good to know! Thanks. Looks like I'll have to move to California!
So when will I be able to buy one?
I can see it now

I love it when scientists try to correct people with the difference between meteorites and asteroids. Just let the unwashed masses say it wrong :)
But if you use the machine about 5,000 times would the cost of 5,000 lap dances be a lot less then the holographic machine?
When will I be able to have a FREE holographic lap dance?
Captcha is a joke. They're become so difficult to read that I can't even decipher what it means!
I don't know what these companies are going to do to keep spammers from running email bot networks.
I want to say verify identity with a credit/debit card, but that won't work very well because of Johnny 13 year old who wants a Gmail account.
I've given up. Please just send me large amounts of email asking me to enlarge my pen15 while remortgaging my sub prime house!
They don't make enough to satisfy the life style I want to achieve.
