    Man that brings back memories. I ran a "fast" /X (AmiExpress) board back in those days. There used to be some hacker crews that would extort sysops - basically, "pay us protection fee or your BBS could be hacked/formatted next." And I remember wondering years later when ransomware first hit, if any of the authors were from those old hacker crews.

    The security features included with 10 are significantly better than what comes with 7

    Not having control over OS updates and reboots isn't very secure. I had one computer where Windows 10 kept trying to install a driver for an integrated graphics chip it didn't actually have - would throw it into a blue screen loop until I could use system restore. Had to find the hardware ID and disable updates for it in group policy.

    And that goes to the parent's statement that security in windows 10 is "significantly better." Ever had a virus compromise your system while it was stuck in a boot loop? Didn't think so.

    Yes his twitter account has OP trolling powers because he sometimes uses it as an outlet for official pronouncements. It is only fitting that the public be able to respond, whether or not he agrees to the expressed opinions is irrelevant.

    You know I actually agreed with what you were saying. The only qualm I had was with your use of that false definition. I would have probably said something along the lines of "Microsoft's insistence on doing the same things over and over again, and expecting different results clearly demonstrates their lack of vision" or similar.
