    The AARP crowd can vary: (1) A previously competent individual whose mind has deteriorated and now needs help.
    (2) An older person that never used computers, and now that he is retired he wants to get on the scene; and
    (3) An elder that used computers for a long time, but never mastered them, and has needed help all his life. (4) Someone
    that knows how to use computers, but needs handholding from time to time.

    These are all distinct types, the first three types are difficult and frustrating because things will never get better with
    them.

    My Robot Avatar will then go to work instead of me; I can sit at home and watch TV,
    eat potato chips (delivered by courier), and get Fat. I die at age 30 of obesity and
    diabetes. This is good because a growing, young population is good for business.

    I haven't figured out, though, if my Avatar will do the sex thing for me.

    You call and report this vulnerability. You think you are a hero. But look at it from their point of view.

    First they verify the problem, and its true. Now they know at least ONE person, you, knows about it. Do you think
    they are going to tell you "we been aware of it for three years, but no one knew..." or maybe "... we followed up on
    what you said, but it will be several weeks before we can fix it ..."

    Responding to you might lead more hacks. Consider you *already* reported it to Slashdot. If I was them I would
    work quietly on this and never respond to you. For all they know, you are ISIS.

    Here in Alaska we have laws for repeat DUI offenders. You forfeit the car you are driving. If you borrowed a car from a friend,
    too bad for him. The judges sometimes have leniency on rental cars. Pretty soon, DUI, losing the car while making payments
    does not look too attractive anymore.

    I think placing a red background on your Driver License picture meaning at least one DUI within 5 years, would help. So if you
    want to borrow Joe's car, he can look at the license and say "not a good idea, Sam."

    My Altair 8800 running CP/M had a washing machine size hard driver. Air compressor,
    big power draw, etc. Had a 5 MB fixed platter, and a 5MB removable platter. I think
    was made by Shugart. Interface was parallel port (not printer port, but similar).

    In its day, it was the cat's meow.

    I still have that Altair, but not the drive. I replaced with a 5MB drive to a parallel port,
    8" then 5". I also experimented with IDE interface and a 3.5" drive, but I do not
    remember the capacity. Then the Altair got stored away. I have a bunch of them,
    and some IMSAI 8080 (a better computer).

    I can predict the future. Due to pressure from Law Enforcement, the new cars
    will not have steering wheels and brakes. On command from a Police Officer,
    the car will lock the passengers inside, and drive itself to the nearest police
    station.

    My son misbehaved and was sent to year-around school for 3 years. It is called
    the Youth Detention Facility. He did not like it, but learned a lot, specially
    non-scholastic subjects.
