the engine, while contributing a lot to the noise of a vehicle is not the sole source. a vehicle in motion also has gear noise, tire noise, wind, and a horn to warn the foolhardy pedestrian. if signifigant enough of a problem, I am sure a buzzer of some type could be made a standard for electric vehicles to warn of their presence on the road to an unwary passerby at little expense.
i doubt that. yum does not create the mythtv Mysql DB, get listings data, set up audio, set up video capture, remote control units. I so very much wish it were as easy as yum 1 line install for a working mythbox, but it's not there yet.
no tv's need to go to landfill. we just won't be able to use their tuners and will instead have to rely on a cable box like over the air tuner for digital telvision on an older tv. no need for landfilling except for the actual transmission equipment in the stations regionally, and honestly, the majority of that will end up in the non US market where analog NTSC is still just fine.
a common example of the rotational attempt at recreating the EFFECT of gravity in a spacecraft is a cylinder or torus rotating at it's radialy symmetrical axis ( the axle of the wheel ) . and you are right, an astronaut not in contact with the torus woudl be able to be suspended weightlessly and not ratate withthe torus. the problem with this states withthe torus being filled with a gas. the gas (air) is in contact withthe walla of the torus as it rotates, the friction from the rotation drags the air along witht he walls of the torus. the air then as it moves wih the torus pushes on things suspended in the torus, slowly dragging them with. as the astronaut starts moving aong with the air, he will begin to linerally accelearate in the direction of the rotation. eventually the astronaut will linerally move until he hits the wall of the torus. to an observer already in contact witht he outer wall of the torus, the astronaut will appear to have been floating , but slowly sunk to the floor. once in contact with the floor, the astronaut will be move along with the torus and the difference between his (or her) linear momentum and the angular momentum will be felt as centrifugal force, but the frame of reference to the astronaut will be felt as a gravity like force. pardon my typos, as I just don't care enough to correct them.
Tivo users, it's great to move multi gig fioles acoss my home network so I can view real-time, any video stred on any of the PVR's in my home. 10 meg just doesn't cut it, 54 meg does it ok when there is no other traffic, but 100meg is the way to go
just like an AR15, use an underslung magazine with a spring feeding new rounds into your "barrell"
your barrell could be very simple as well, a horizontal slit, with s soft foamon the left side rail and a teflon tape or other similar low friction materila on the right side rail.
to load a single CD from the magaziine ito the barrel, you would use a pull back slide like a crossbow, when fully retracted, the magazine would be free to push one cd into the barrel, upon releasing the slide (slowly) the slide would push the cd forward just enough to contact the foam on the left. upon poulling the trigger, the spring loaded slide would then be free to fly forward with all of the stored energy int eh spring, and force the CD out of the barrell. meanwhile, the high friction material on one side of the barrel would induce rotation counter clockwise and offer stability to the projectile. but then again, this is just my udea using 3 springs and some woodwork (spring 1 for magazine feed, spring 2 for the slide/launcher bolt, and spring 3 for the trigger mechanism).
oh praise be that the infedels have seen fit to send my family even more work! my family thanks you, and my ancestors thank you. please now tax local call centers and make my extended family very very happy!
weight maybe?, my old 21 inch sun trinitron display warped my desk with it's weight. or heat. the heat coming off a crt is enough to keep me warm during winter. maybe power? my 17 inch lcd runs on 12 volt ac and doesn't dim the lights in my computer room when I turn it on. oh yeah, warm up time. my lcd display is almost instantly on when I press power. or how about magnetic interference... I neverhave to degauss my lcd, or worry about it being too close to my speakers, or cell phone, or bathing me in x rays for hours on end...
well, this is a bios giude aimed at tweaking a pc for gamers so when you try to apply the tips listed for your old cirrus logic video adapters and the like, of course you will have a problem. also it DOES state in the tweakers guide several times that you can hose your os/hardware possibly by doing the listed tweaks. so before you get your panties in a bunch, try ACTUALLY READING THE ARTICLE!
but by the very same logic, if you left a network terminal on the sidewalk in front of your home and shot someone for using it, guess who is going to jail......
while we're at it , why not sum up the average slashdot poster!
1. get self centered know it all.
2. give the ass a forum where he can speak without any restriction.
3. let ass spout off his opinions about whatever he wants however unrelated to the true topic at hand.
4. mod the ass up.
well damn john holmes, all 10 taped?
geez
I wonder just how much that would hurt when you pulled it off.. much worse than a duct tape gag I would guess.
yes I can, but try that in texas, where they have turned many traffic signals on their sides. really throws me for a loop when I am driving from the east coast to the west coast of the US.
WOOT!
the whole reason I bought mine was also to get tekken tag. but then again, I also needed another DVD player agfter giving my G/F my apex dvd player so she could wath dvds. god I am stupid.
what's even more distressing than that is that I can actually read through a whole katz article an there was not one reference to columbine in it?
could this be a bean pod hatched double of katz? Out to take over the world and fill all of the other extremely poor writing community with body snatching doubles who only write second rate crap instead of the pure poo that their originals shat out onto page? I hope so.
evolva hurts my brain to play. first of all, it has a wireframe mode where you get to see the actual polygons which are being texture mapped. there are lots and lots of polygons on the monsters, almost enough to make them look solid in wireframe mode. seriously, that many. no kidding. when not using wireframe mode to cheat like a vicious loser so I could see through walls, I noticed that all the monsters looked more realistic and moved more fluidly than I have seen in any other action game, they actualy appeared to have curved bodies, as opposed to the shaded boxes that make quake people and monsters. evolva is good. I loved the game until the end of the second mission and it told me " congratulations for completing the demo of evolva" and I felt like a junkie whose needle was just yanked away form him mid shootup.

heck, i'll piss on your carpet for free.

But I lost my fingers defending this country, you insensitive clod!
I for one will welcome our new caffinated overlords.

this IS a peltier device.

however the byproduct of this is very likely to be a brownout :)

I don't think that mtv had that in mind with their "rock the vote" campaign a couple of years ago.
