The cost savings on individual items is wiped out by the damage they do to the US and it's economy. The backpadding supports work well when carrying textbooks for 4 classes.....
As someone else mentioned...carrying a backpack is a good way to prevent theft, as its less liable just to be "set down" for a second and less visible as a bag containing a laptop.

The movie was so-so, so it was easier for the tv show to be better.
It would be hard to do a SW series on par or better than the movie- or at atleast the percieved quality of the movie.
