I doubt anyone would be able to make much sense or use of the data anyway. The government classifies so much stuff, who knows what it is? Telephone numbers? Ionization cross sections of some rare earth elements?
I was in the Quad Cities "International" Airport yesterday, and HEY! free wireless internet. Score! But then in Detroit it was $7 to hook up.:P
Then I thought, there should be some user maintained web page that summarizes what kind of networking airports have available. I couldn't find such a thing on google. Any hints?
I'm guessing that all the offspring must be female too -- no X chromosome. So if you want a son, you'll have to use a male. But I suppose you don't need male offspring any more anyway, as the females can reproduce themselves.:)
Thank you, Canada, I feel so much safer now we have a finger-print robot. I'm sure it will save the 10's of thousands of lives lost every year to suspicious packages. No wait, that's automobiles. Never mind.
The parent is right. Other languages don't become fractured. That's because they have standards, often international ones, not because they're not open. If Sun were worried about fracturing, they'd submit java to a standards organization (like ANSI). But they haven't. They want to keep complete control over Java. They can change it whenever they want and keep the source.
Because NASA is primarily another big subsidy program for the miltary-industrial complex of the US. NASA isn't primarily interested in science (e.g. the Hubble). And they're sure as hell not interested giving money to other countries. NASA gets money so they can give it to the large aerospace corporations that line your congressman's pockets.
It can even be argued that the older analog oscilloscopes are better than newer digital ones.
I think that would be a pretty damn hard argument. When I went to school the only thing they had were analog scopes. Now as a professional I use only digital scopes, and there is no comparison. Having storable digital data far exceeds the usefulness of a flash on the screen in every way.
Fortunately, you're wrong. Just the fact that the Supreme Court took the case is a good indicator that some of the justices are skeptical of the previous rulings that went against the man.
you need something more reliable and faster than DSL, a failover setup,...
No, you don't. You're giving something away for free. People aren't going to expect a lot. If they need something more reliable, they can buy it elsewhere.
Start simple. Just allow open access. If you start having problems (I assume that you'll be using this access point regularly), then throw in a cheap PC to do the fancy bandwidth/packet management. The most important thing is to get it up and running soon so people are attracted, then iron out the bumps out as you go along.
Anyone know where I can get some 1.7.3 rpms?
Ton Roosendaal of Blender
and
Jorrit Tyberghein of Crystal Space
You obviously know nothing about security. Everyone knows that terrorists will never attack us once they see our great, big ... computer displays.
This project would be a lot easier if they were working in the more natural units of radians rather than degrees. :)

Can you still run a Red Hat RPM you got in 1997
Yeah. And I do.
It would randomly lock up and crash on me
Firefox is still test software. Use Mozilla 1.7. It's rock solid.
How about someone give us a rational, educated that comment we can copy and paste into the comment web page that supports this new proposal?
The private industry will make our weather service better, just like Microsoft makes computing so great!
That's great... until pobox.com tanks or gets bought out by someone who shuts it down.
Buying a domain is the only real solution.
However, you CAN keep one of these "second-rate" email addresses indefinitely.
That's what I thought too. Then one of the services started charging and the other one (altavista) stopped offering it altogether. Doh!
I bought a domain that I can move from ISP to ISP. That is how you keep your email address the same.

Yes, no firewire was the show stopper for me too. My storage drive is firewire. My video camera is firewire. Guess I'm sticking with RH8.
I've found that the wonderful Humungous adventure games work well under wine.
Also kutoka games also work well.
I have the card in my wallet.

why doesn't NASA give the Russians a chance?

I don't think this guy has a chance in hell.

The U.S. has installed a non stop cavalcade of ruthless dictators since the end of World War II
Get it right. We've been taking over countries a lot longer than that pal. We've been running Central American since Theodore Roosevelt was in office.

Got one from bro. Great fun at Christmas dinner.
