No one ever said "All the support is free." There are 2 kinds of support that are currently in use today in Open Source: (1) Free, (2) Fee. For some, "Free" is fine. For others "Fee" is needed. With "Free" there is no one to complain to if the support is unacceptable (saying: "Let me speak to your manager!" will probably not get you very far). In some cases, companies give free support with the hope you will pay later, and in those cases you may get better service.
The problem is that the engineers are providing the support. Engineers are used to arguing with another arrogant engineer so they seem to think being a jerk is a normal and appropriate response. (When I was younger I was guilty of some of the same attitude. But at least I became aware of it and *hopefully* have changed) Many Engineers I have met would not suffer fools lightly. I guess that's the price of "free" software. If you want to have a better chance of a nice support person you need to pay for service.
Now they just need to find some video game ace and tell him they want him to test out the "latest virtual reality video game". Even better if he's young and named "Ender"
Sounds like you are arguing for "Not-So-Intelligent Design" which implies a non-omnipotent being.
Of course, the beauty of "Intelligent Design" is that there is no way to argue against it. Any argument can be answered with "because that is the way God wanted it! Who are we to question his divine authority?"
I realize my arguments fall on deaf ears. Just having a bit of fun...
Not true. Some eyes work better than others. Some creatures can only see light/shadow. Some have eyes that don't even work. How does that make sense in Inteligent Design?
There are lots of things that seem impossible when looking at our small life span, but are possible when looking at 100s of millions or even billions of years of evolution. Lots can happen even from random mutations over that time span.
How about Cancer? Was that also Intelligently Designed? Why would a designer create cancer? Or why would they create an organism that worked in such a compilated way instead of going for a simpiler design?
???
The former master previously dethroned by their apprentice is now the master!
Seventeen! You're ready.
For that matter, here are a few other things you should not do:
Don't post stories about what you are not supposed to do before commiting murder.
And don't read stories about what not to do before commiting murder.
Troll? That was supposed to be funny!
Stem cells are evil! This will pave the way to a constitutional amendment to ban stem cells!
doesn't exactly qualify as "thunderous applause :)
True. I just liked the quote
How about:
"This is how liberty dies - to stifling yawns."
"This is how liberty dies - to thunderous applause."
- Revenge of the Sith.
The battery in me cell phone lasts quite a long time...

-Dr. Cox (Scrubs)
Not only would he die in prison... but they would keep his rotting corpse behind bars for an additional 20 years "just to be safe."
is that you need to shove the pepper up your bum...

In the past year or two I have had much less spam.
Now I just get Deviled Ham. (ha ha)
But seriously,
Earthlink does a great job filtering out the spam. I go some days with no spam at all.
At its peak I used to get 50 or more a day...
