Wikipedia is not necessarily as reliable as another print source, but printed encyclopedias are susceptible to errors as well (and often contain more of them than Wikipedia itself) and are not as up-to-date.

It's extremely obvious with the 20/20 vision hindsight affords us that Yahoo should have taken Microsoft's offer. But the real question is: with the information that CEO Yang had at the time, was his decision reasonable?

But the gaming industry wants to turn games into a one-time-sale so that everyone would just buy new games instead of old, used, but perfectly fine ones.
They're trying to sell diamonds here... but a game isn't forever. They try to prevent resales by DRMing the game, but the public responds by torrenting.
But as for IGN and its censoring, it's probably only to prevent lawsuits.

TFA gives the size of a patch or a game download. But that information is easily found. What would actually be useful is the information on how much bandwidth gameplay actually consumes, perhaps in Kbps, for a few of the more common MMOs like WoW.

Copying files to and from a network was excruciatingly slow - how did that get past Microsoft's QA?
