    But then again, I haven't seen an actual satisfactory word processor, spreadsheets, compiler on any touch device (iOS/Android). All the available ones are, to put it bluntly, shit. Even the ones created by Apple and Google themselves. I think Metro apps are not supposed to be full blown apps, they are supposed to be like iPad apps. Just a nice frame to pull data off the web, or games.

    Why can't a touchscreen support context menus (right-click menus)? Android does it pretty elegantly, via long touch. And don't forget that Win8 was built from the ground up to support touch, the entire metro interface is great with a touchscreen.
    just because it is capable enough to run a parallel full desktop interface doesn't mean the whole thing is stupid, it means it is trying to be 2 things at once. And that can be a brilliant thing, if you manage to pull it off.

    in games that allow it, i choose to login thru fb than g+. because that allows me to play against my friends with iphone or the rare windows phone. but yeah, except this, there is no other use for g+.

    the problem is not kernel-debugging, the problem is debugging bugs caused by the compiler misrepresenting your c code in assembly.

    amen to all of that. its a huge problem here in india, i hope it doesn't catch on in the us too. and if nadella does indulge in stuff like hiring stupid guys just because they would work for peanuts, he deserves all the hate. but my point is, traditionally microsoft has NOT done this. they hire only the best, regardless of the ethnicity of the employee being hired. and they pay them more or less at par with americans.

    Furthermore, I think that your English comprehension skills are lacking, due to your claim of "racism" being present. Nobody cares that Indians are Indians. Nobody cares what color their skin is.

    The truth is that the American worker is realizing that his talent is not so unique anymore. People educated in India can and do exceed the level of American born, American educated guys. And that truth is obviously hard to swallow.

    i don't get this whole racism against indians thing. i am an indian, english is my second language. i am in the 99th percentile according to the gre verbal test. microsoft ceo is a guy completely educated in india. you think he is worse than the thousands of american microsoft employees?

    regulation would work in reducing immigrant workers, but microsoft would simply move whole divisions overseas. in totality, us jobs will decrease, not increase. i would think that inviting the smartest people from other countries and letting them create wealth inside the us would be better than less jobs in the us.

    the most successful smartphone (GS4) has a removable battery. The second most successful smartphone (GS3) has a removable battery. These were able to trump iphone due to small nitpicks like this only. MotoX is not selling at all. You are one of the few people who think less choice is good (in battery replacement).

    Lack of microsd is simply unacceptable, imo. non-replaceable battery i might put up with. this is the main reason i bought an s4 and not an n5.

    People went to buy a smartphone thinking they'd have the same apps/functions/etc as the iPhone if they bought any smartphone, then found that their Android phone didn't do/use the specific thing that all their friends on iPhones could do/use.

    highly unlikely that you can find an android phone that does not at the least do something an iphone can. the other way round is likely, but not this.
