"Anyone who has done heavy work in JavaScript can attest to it's modularity;"
I don't think you understand what they're talking about. You cannot package javascript up in a module which ensures that there will be no namespace collisions, and there is no way to specify which "DoSomething()" you mean... the last declared is king.
People work around it by doing things like MYPACKAGE_ and the like, but there is still no way to import, remove, or specify which method/class you want if there is a namespace collision.
All non-digital 16x9 signals are "fake" (also known as "anamorphic") 16x9 signals.
There is no geometry in an analog signal, only a sync rate and a number of horizontal lines. It's up to your display device as to whether or not each horizontal line should take up 1mm or 1.5mm or....
Remember, analog signals only have a distinct vertical resolution, not a horizontal one. Hence "720p" is NOT "720*xyz", it's "720p" for a reason.
So, for example, some (many here in Australia) 16x9 plasma TVs are "fake" 16x9 since their resolution is 1024x768, which is not a 16x9 pixel format.
Or, if you tell your computer to output 1600x1200 to a widescreen monitor, and then have it compress the image, THAT is fake 16x9.
However, outputting a 480p image there is no way to tell whether or not it's 16x9 or 4x3. Both signals look the same non-digitally!
Prerendered video in games is commonly called "FMV" whcih is also a bit of a misnomer since the output of any console is video, and it certainly is in FULL motion.
I'd say CGI has passed on to be commonly accepted as "Computer generated video which is not renedered in realtime."
Same dvd player, same price (christmas 1998 timeframe?), and I got the typical rebate experience: -Yes sir, we're processing it, 3-6 weeks... no dvds come... -We already sent one lot of dvds to your apartment complex, and got 6 more requests, so we didn't ship the rest! One per address! --But it's an apartment complex, there are different unit numbers on the address -too bad!
REALTIME 7.1 requires no more space than stereo. What it requires is a processer capable of mixing the various samples and sound effects in realtime.
The only thing that would take up more space is prerecorded video, which I hate in games. I'm much happier with fully in-engine cutscenes, even if they don't look as good.
Now for the kicker: If that URL happens to point to a sharepoint server, when you click "save" it will save it back to the site, update the document history, prompt you for any necessary meta-data, and (with 2007) kick off a workflow for (example here) document approval.
There is NO reason for a windows application to be writing anything into program files (or honestly ANYWHERE except for the temp directory and the user's directory) except during installation.
So you can put yahoo widgets on your homepage? Last I checked yahoo widgets were small things you put on your desktop, much like the OSX ones, and not simple aids to get neat stuff on your personal homepage.
When did yahoo make HTML-ized widgets, and how can I add them to my page?
A Nintendo DS gets 6+ hours of gameplay off a single charge from a battery smaller than a matchbox. With two screens and wifi, doing 3d graphics. (more without wifi on).
Now I don't have a mAH comparison of the two batteries, but I'd guess that the laptop battery is at least 10x, if not 100x.
An ultrasound is an odd thing. Basically you get a depth image, but somewhat different as it also has density. In order to give you a concrete 3d looking image they take that 3d (including density) image over time and take areas they know are of the same thing. While the output appears to simply be 3d the image is created using signals over a timeperiod.
Version 1.0 will likely be the first fully stable production ready version. It's VERY good right now, but is what I'd call beta-heading-towards-RC quality. The plugins occasionally crash (especially mythmusic) and while I am a pro at setting it up after doing so 5 times, doing it without a guide isn't as easy as installing (for example) XP MCE.
So there was.1,.2,.3.....19,.20 releases in the 0.X line.
Several years ago there were not proper multi-core cpus on the consumer market, so what did you test?
HT is not the same as multi-core.

The specs are good, but when you forget something as simple as a hardware upscaler...

What video card do you have that will play new games in that resolution at 60fps?
Also, you could easily play xbox 360 on that in 1080p with the vga adapter.

If you buy and sell stock online, is that virtual currency or "real" currency?
Better yet, what about commodities and futures! There you're not buying anything at all...

WoW was released in November 2004. The oldest guilds are no more than a year and a half older than the newest guilds! BFD.
An oldest guild in everquest? Sure that'd catch my interest a bit. An oldest guild in DAOC? 50/50 catches my interest.

Yes, you can. It can be on any web server.

You have just made my point for me :)

So what happens in ubuntu when a random application tries to write to /usr?

What exactly do you do for sony?
Sony is a huge company, you could be on the Aibo team for all we know.

So why do you not believe them?
They also give you free jabber hosting if you edit your SRV records.
What does emerge do that apt-get and urpmi don't?
But they are 4d pictures by your very definition!

It's pretty obvious which people commenting on this story are students and which are living in the real world...
So what you meant to say was "I've used one single wireless controller, and it doesn't have rumble" ?
What release of debian, what kernel? Did you file a bug?
I've NEVER had apt-get replace a kernel. It installs them along-side and sets the new one to the default.
Honest question: What value is that?

So there was
"The division had an operating loss of 26.8 billion ($232.3m)"
What better definition for "in the red" can you find?
